Pop Century Questions

The whole family (all ten of us) are leaving for WDW in 14 days...YIPEE...we are spending the first half at POP and the second half at Animal Kingdom. We were wondering if there are hair dryers, irons, and refrigerators in the rooms. I am sure this info is out there somewhere but I can't seem to find it.....Thanks

there are hair dryers already in the rooms, but you have to request refrigerators. i dont remember if they have irons in the room or if you have to request those as well.

REALLY . . . I had a full ironing board and iron . . . wonder if it was left over from the guest before? I know you can request them along with bedrails for the little kiddos from Mousekeeping!

We had a full ironing board and iron in the closet area in our room and a hair dryer at the sink. They charge extra for fridges

Re: Pop Century Questions

For our last stay at POP in March we had the hair dryer, iron, ironing board AND refrigerator. We've always had to request the refrigerator and pay the extra $10/night but this room had it in the dresser which held the TV. It was a very nice surprise!!

We had the ironing board & hair dryer.

Oh, and I believe if the fridge is needed for medical purposes (storing insulin, etc.) WDW waives the fee.

Re: Pop Century Questions

Everyone pretty much covered this one. Dryers and irons in room, fridge available for an additional fee of $10 per day unless, as Cavey stated, they are needed for medical purposes. Fridges are based on a first come, first served basis.

You're doing it just right!! Welcome to Mousebuzz!!

Your fridge question is straight - you can get it at a fee or if you are storing any type of meds you can get it for free.

I don't recall coffee being in my room at the Pop. I guess they want you down at the food court early in the morning!!!

I've never had the pleasure of staying that the AKL so I don't know about the coffee there, but I do know there will be a fridge at the AKL free of charge. (Only the value resorts don't offer a fridge in the room!)

You are traveling with a very large group! You must be SO excited!!!!
