Room cancellation policy

What is the cancellation policy for a room-only ressie? I've got two ressies for later this month and will have to cancel one of them.

If you were cancelling the entire reservation, you'd lose the room deposit and a portion of the value of the reservation since you're inside a month.

In life, all things are negotiable.

Call them and find out what they can do. Depending on how busy it is for them, they might not penalize you because you're keeping one of the rooms.

Please let us know.

How long is your confirmation #?

Re: Room cancellation policy

OK, here is the rule, since I didn't hear back from you:

If your confirmation # is 12 digits long, then you can cancel anytime prior to 5 days before your check in and get your full deposit back. Inside of 5 days, you loose your one night deposit.

If your confirmation # is 8 digits long, then the reservation has to be cancelled within 45 days of your arrival, or you loose the $200 deposit. If you have two reservations of this type, they should allow you to cancel one and apply the deposit to the one you want to keep. Usually.

Mickey,

Why would there be two different policies and two different numbers?

Re: Room cancellation policy

The 12 digit code would be a room only reservation booked through CRO. The 8 digit code is a package booked through WDWTC. It is very difficult to book a room only reservation any more, you have to ask for it, and make sure it gets done correctly. The two divisions have their own policies.

The other message that I posted about 15 minutes ago talks about the two divisions and about how later this year, they will be using the same booking software.

Hopefully, some of this confusion will be eliminated.

The confirmation # is 12 digits. So I can cancel now (the ressie is 19 days away) and get my full deposit back? Which phone # do I contact to do so?

Thanks for your help!

Re: Room cancellation policy

Yes, you can cancel now and get your money back. Just call the 407-WDISNEY number, give them your confirmation number and cancel.
