Question about Fort Wilderness golf carts....
My family and I are staying at the Fort Wilderness Cabins in August for 10 nights. We will have our own car while we are there. Should we rent a golf cart for our stay? We plan on using the amneties of the resort while we are there. Is it worth it to rent a cart? Can you rent daily? Anyone have any information or ever done this? Any tips or suggestions would be helpful! Thanks in advance!

Re: Question about Fort Wilderness golf carts....
The cart is a convienence. We always rent one for each site we have, usually 3. It does save time on bathroom runs, as well as trips around the camp. I do believe they rent on a daily basis. We always reserve early because we go in Dec. and carts sell out.

Re: Question about Fort Wilderness golf carts....
I was actually thinking about staying at one of the cabins, but after I read that they prefer you not drive your own car around kinda made me reconsider. I don't feel that I should rent a cart when I have my own car. With the size of the campground it just seems you should be able to use your own car, or they at least offer a tram system.
In the end, personally, I think I would just rent some bikes for the duration, I think thats a cheaper alternative.

hey tigger....I agree with you....but renting bikes is a great idea! We are driving so maybe we can take the kids bikes & then just rent my husband & I some bikes. I haven't been on a bike in oh let's say atleast 15 years! LOL......I am sure that I would be a site to watch!
