I've booked POFQ for my trip, but the more I'm thinking about it, the more I'd like to be closer to Epcot and the TTC rather than deal w/buses which only run every 15 to 20 minutes to get everywhere. I'm thinking I'd like to upgrade to the Boardwalk Inn. Any input?

Re: Boardwalk Inn Question
BWI is very nice. It puts you in the middle of a lot of things..... Walk or boat to Epcot, boat to MGM, night life on the BW is nice (if you are into that) Jellyrolls, Atlantic Dance Club, ESPN. Nice restaurant(s) at the BW or easily walk to Y&B. The down side (if you want to call it that) is that you are upgrading from a moderate resort, to a deluxe resort.. That could put a pinch on the pocket book if you were not planning on it.
You could also look at Y&B to stay at. You can easily walk to the same locations (or boat) to all of the same. Tim

Re: Boardwalk Inn Question
If you'd like to stay at BWI, requesting a "standard" view room will save you a bit of money. You won't be overlooking the Boardwalk, but that's a good thing. It is VERY noisy until at least 2 a.m.

Re: Boardwalk Inn Question
Oh, good point. I didn't think about the noise. But I'd hate to spend the money on a deluxe and have a view of a parking lot...grrr I'm confused....

If you can afford it........go for it!!!
You can't beat the location of the Boardwalk in my opinion.

Re: Boardwalk Inn Question
How long would it take me to walk to Epcot from the Boardwalk Inn?

Re: Boardwalk Inn Question
Have fun at the Boardwalk! It is our favorite hotel of all, and we love the noise at night! We love the pastries from the Boardwalk Bakery! We love having a cocktail on the Boardwalk at night and then walking right to our room! And most of all, we love getting to our room 10 minutes after the fireworks end!
