talking trashcans in tomorrowland
We recently returned from the world and I was wondering if it is common knowledge that there is a remote controlled trash can in Tomorrow land? Its name is "PUSH"! He approached my two teenagers and carried on quite a conversation! He even talked my big bad 15 year old son into giving him a hug! It was hilarious to watch my two sophisticated teens conversing with PUSH while little ones continued to peek into the trash can and even deposit trash. We still havent figured out how he could read the front of the kids shirts. Look for Push if your in the MK.

I have also seen the trashcan in Animal Kingdom right outside the entrance in the morning, and at Conservation Station. I have seen it in EPCOT between the two Innoventions, at Disney-MGM near Tower or Terror and in Tomorrowland. The best was at the entrance to AK. It would just sit for a while and wait for some unsuspecting lady to walk by, and then start talking or following her. We watched it for a half an hour, it was funner than any ride. Make sure you look around and find the guy running it. He looks just like any tourist, but has a small microphone by his mouth. He usually isn't more than 15 or 20 feet away, and is usually hidden somewhere in the shadows.

I've seen things like this all over from time to time, even in our local mall. When I saw it in Tomorrowland this past March I immediately looked for the guy with the satchel over his shoulder. He's the one operating it, but if you look for him try to do it discreetly...it just ruins the whole thing for the kids once they figure it out. But it's great to watch the little kids' reactions...some are just scared to death & others are absolutely fascinated. It's a great "people watching" opportunity, though.

I Love that trash can. I haven't seen it anywhere other than AKL. And at the entrance we saw a talking palm tree that was also really cute. Now that I know they are at different parks I'll have to keep my eyes open for it the next time I go.

We also saw the trashcan at AK. It was great! That was 2 years ago and the kids still talk about it! We also saw some talking bushes on the way to Conservation Station. She should have been warning guests about wasting "time" instead of the environment. :laugh
