This will be our first stay at the AKL and we will be staying Concierge. We're requested a savanna view. I would appreciate any information on room locations and anything else you think would be helpful.

While I haven't stayed there, I did sneak up to the concierge lounge. It was very nice, had a good selection of juices and snacks (I was there in the afternoon), and had a great view of the lobby, though no view of the savannah. All of the concierge rooms are up on the 5th and 6th floors, and are slightly larger than most of the rooms. Overall, I have heard the service there is wonderful, and you will be assigned one person to handle all your needs, and they should meet you at the resort when you first arrive.

One nice thing about the concierge level at AKL is they offer a special sunrise safari and breakfast. They wisk you away from AKL at sunrise, and you get to ride Kilimanjaro Safari well before the park even opens. You are then treated to a breakfast at Tusker House, and then transportation back to the resort if needed. I believe there is a cost, but you can only do it if you are staying at the concierge AKL, so they only let 20 or so people go each day.

I am sure you will have a great trip! I know others have stayed there, so they may be able to help more than I have.
