Grand Floridian: Room suggestions
We're going 2nd week of December and wondering if anyone can suggest an actual room there? Last time we stayed at the Polynesian and found the room and view great, so wondering if GF has similar "good view vs. bad view" rooms.
THANKS! |

Re: Grand Floridian: Room suggestions
My advice would be to consult "The Unofficial Guide to WDW". In it's hotel section, they go into great detail about the best and worst rooms at all the Disney resorts. Hope this helps! (And welcome to DC!)

Re: Grand Floridian: Room suggestions
Just got back yesterday from 8 day stay at the GF. Really nice place but the only way I would stay there again is if I were in the Main building. I was in Sugar Loaf and while the room was fine the building was small and cramped. the main building is very nice and has all the restaurants and shops. I will be posting a trip report hopefull tonight or tommorrow which will have my thoughts on the hotel.

Re: Grand Floridian: Room suggestions
Awesome, thanks for the info! I've heard it's a beutiful resort, but as all resorts, it probably has it's good and bad side, but for the dinero we're paying, I expect the best and want to ensure that. ;)

Re: Grand Floridian: Room suggestions
Rooms in Chonch Key are kinda neat because they're out to the point of the property that juts out onto the water. It's a bit of a walk, though.

Re: Grand Floridian: Room suggestions
Request a lagoon view room in the Boca Chica building. It's near the main building, has a GORGEOUS view, and is near the pool. Pete and I had a fantastic honeymoon there, and would only book GF again if we could be guaranteed the same building.
