Gifts to have waiting in room

I would love to have something waiting for my DD when we get to our room. Is there a site where I can see what I can order? How would something like this work? Has anyone else had things delivered in the rooms before arriving?

Re: Gifts to have waiting in room

Nikki I mentioned the same thing to a reservation agent when I called Disney (it was my 1st wedding anniversary and I wanted to do something for Pete). They sent me a brochure in the mail of different presents I could have waiting in the room. There are prices and phone numbers on it. Just give WDW a call

I wish they had an online option for this, to at least look at what's available.

I'd love to surprise DW and the kids with something. What a cool idea!

Jenny, what did you end up getting him?

Re: Gifts to have waiting in room

Ugh I don't know how these people make any money. It is very hard to find this link when I do a search. Anyway here it is:

www.disneyflorist.com

they don't have all of the choices on there but they have some. Someone in my party ordered A day in the park which included a box of cookies, mickey, photo album and a disposable camera and that was a nice gift and they wrapped it nicely. We had three rooms under the same name because apparently they could not get that correct even though I called 3 times to fix it so it was in the wrong room in the closet. no big deal. i put it outside the person's door and ran so she got it anyway. The gift itself and album was much nicer than what was shown on the brochure so we were pleased.

Re: Gifts to have waiting in room

One of the things I do, is order the stuff I want directly from Disney, have them ship it to me and I pack in my things. When we get to the room, we typically drop all of our stuff and then go exploring the hotel. I usually send the group on saying that I forgot something and I pull it out real quick. When arrive back at the room, there is something waiting - usually from Mickey himself - saying that he is glad we came to visit and that he hopes we have a great time. My daughter is only five, so she falls for this everytime. If your kiddos are older it might not work. But by ording stuff directly from Disney, you save a little bit of money. Even paying the shipping charges plus the price of the gift that I want turns out cheaper than the prepared stuff by Disney. Also, for that matter, if I know that there is a trip coming up, I always pick up little things here at home that could be included in a gift basket. The number to call to order stuff from Disney direct is 407/363-6200. Have fun and good luck with your special surprise!

Re: Gifts to have waiting in room

You can purchase a "pal mickey" and haveit waiting in your room. Arrange it on the phone and pay by credit card or arrange it while you are checking in. I ma certain somone could get it up there for you. You could also do something with pins and lanyards..maybe a starter set and have that waiting. Pin trading is a blast for any kid....and big kids too.

Honestly I didn't get anything. Nothing really jumped out at me as something he would really like, at it seemed WAY overpriced too.

Jenny -

I know what you mean with that. I had a brouchure (sp?) from that florist and was looking at the arrangements and baskets. Very beautiful, but VERY expensive.
