I feel silly posting my bad stuff but here is some of it-
1. recently I booked my 90 day CRT and I am booking for a total of 18. less than 10 min after getting off the phone (before talking to the rest of the group to see if they had gotten through) Disney called me back "telling" me in a pretty rude manner that I had to let go 2 of the 3 reservations of 10. I told her that I needed to talk to the rest of my group and she did not want to get off the line with me so I could do this. But when I called back to tell them which ones we were keeping- I was told that they never do that and they were truly sorry- they had no idea who called me. 2.I went to WDW this past summer and was devistated to find that at the end of the one day at MK I had to go back to the Timeshare and not the tram to my hotel and even worse- we had to wait in line behind a lady that was talking about getting on the cruise without me.3. When we went back in 2001 none of the fountains were running from drought and - we went this year to find that Ariels grotto no longer had little squirty things coming up from the ground. 4. I hate the fact that it takes 6 months for me to plan and pay for the trip 90 days to make reservations but I have to plan around a psudo schedule of what might happen with fireworks/ early closing during a slower season so that i can enjoy the parks not the rides. They dont make the FW schedule untill 3 full months prior. I still dont have a schedule for Feb but my 90 rule was back on Halloween. Now the good Every thing everything Everything! Especially the big boat!!!!! My conk shell cup washed away while I was lounging and before I even noticed, the guy was there with a new one at no charge the "waterproof" canister leaked and fried my pager while skin diving and they replaced it without a penalty The alcohol waitress was real pushy to the point where she was rude and so I said something to the head waiter- he sent over a round of wine on the house. the wdw dine staff gave me lots of pointers on how to land CRT! Woo-Hoo YELLOW PEOPLE - need I say more Now there are YELLOW PEOPLE at the parks and they only cost one wish!!!!! Watching the magic happen in my childrens eyes- crying because im happy!! ![]()

Re: Disney: The Good and The Bad (and the Ugly?)
No doubt our worse experience was at the CBR, August of 2003. but I have already beat that dead horse :)
so the only other really tramatic event was this past August, huricanie Charly and my friend being stuck in N.Y. add to that the last full day my DH felt offended by a CM, through a fit, and because of all the commotion we lost Aloha_stitch :(

Yellow people are the CM that work with the kids in the Oceaneer club on the cruise- they all wear yellow shirts and they joke about how much the parents like the "yellow People"

Re: Disney: The Good and The Bad (and the Ugly?)
Well let's see I had one CM call my room around 10 PM to ask me if I was comming to get the fax that hadn't gone through. (BTW: The reason that the fax didn't go through is because she didn't know how to properly send the fax).
I went the next day to the front desk to pick the fax up, and normally there is a charge for sending a fax, but instead a different CM tried resending the fax, and it went through and he didn't charge me for it!!! Talk about Disney magic...

Re: Disney: The Good and The Bad (and the Ugly?)
One night after IllumiNations, we were on the bus back to the hotel with a large group of kids and the entire bus sang songs from "The American Adventure."
I've actually had similar experiences on the nighttime bus rides before. Sometimes, the ride back to the hotel is the most magical thing that happens all day. ![]()

Re: Disney: The Good and The Bad (and the Ugly?)
you want good stories :) I have a million of them!!!!
Like last August at the TOT when the CM gave us the special passes (same as baby swap) so DH could go through up till the ride and see what it was like. Or the CM who let us in the exit of Ellen's when I asked was there a shady place my DH could wait because the line was out in the sun ..so he took us in the exit where it was nice and cool and said "just dont go in with this group..wait" which we did of course :)

Re: Disney: The Good and The Bad (and the Ugly?)
here are two major things-
1. 6 months of planning are going to equal 6 more months of grief counceling when I come home and have to twiddle my fingers- there should be a grief counceling forum here. 2. My sister says her worst experiance was having to get on the bus back to the airport by herself knowing that the rest of the group was going on to the bus to the boat!...............But not this time!!!! WHOO HOO

Re: Disney: The Good and The Bad (and the Ugly?)
The Good:
Dougie meeting Snow White who held him in her arms for a good 5 minutes talking with him and giving him a big smooch on the forehead before handing him back to me. Eating at Chef Mickey's and sitting next to the kitchen door so that each time the characters would go in and out they would at least pat the top of Dougie's head or give another acknowledgement of him. My 1st time eating at Tony's which I didn't even know exsisted at the parks. My DH surprised me with it and the CM's were just wonderful. They took a picture of DH and I doing the spaghetti scene from the movie. And I even got a plate with Lady & Tramp on it at the end of the meal. The Bad: Wanting to leave MVMCP and walk back over to the Contemporary only to be told that we had to wait until after the fireworks because the sidewalks were closed for our safety. Of course we have a sleeping child who we were trying to keep sleeping by leaving before the fireworks. Would have been considerate of them to post this information ahead of time so we could have known about it and left early. The good so outweighs the bad. This truely is the only time I can recall ever getting upset and flustered while at Disney.

Re: Disney: The Good and The Bad (and the Ugly?)
I have a bad experience to talk about. I think it was our 2002 trip. There were five of us and we were in line for either the Snow White or Pooh Bear ride. A car came up for us to load but another family took the first seat. I didn't want to ride in separate cars so I left the back seat open and was going to wait for the next car. The CM came and screamed at me and told me if I wasn't going to get in to leave the line. He was a very old grumpy man who shouldn't be working there IMO. I just wanted my family to ride together!!!!!
In all, there have been so many good time sthat far ourweigh the bad times!

Re: Disney: The Good and The Bad (and the Ugly?)
This just happened on my last trip about a week ago...
THE BAD: After Wishes, the line for the Pop Century bus at the MK was sooooo backed up it was unbelievable. We couldn't even see the PC stop from our place in line. People were getting impatient and rude, yelling at people walking by them who weren't even going to the PC stop, they were just passing by. And so many little kids crying... all tired and wanting to go home. It was just not a pleasant scene. THE GOOD: They had a CM out there in about 10 mins, on a radio and calling in bus after bus to shorten the line. It worked too - we were near the back of the line, and we got on a bus within no more than 45 mins. The only conclusion I can draw from this is that if something bad does happen at Disney... there's always something good following right behind! ![]()
