Refrigerator Staus Reports

OK, because of all the discussing over the fridges I started my own little project to find out the real deal. I sent a PM out to people that were heading off to Disney soon, and staying at a Delxue or Moderate resort. Today I recieved the first report from Dsnygurl, who stayed at POR. She said that POR is in the process of installing the fridges, and that if your room doesn't have one that just by calling the front desk you can get one for free.

BTW: I am still looking for reports from the following resorts: GF, POFQ, GF, CSR, and WL. Please send a PM my way if you could simply let me know the policy and status on refrigerators on the resort where you are staying. Thanks to eveeryone who has already told me they will share!!

I'll let you know about the AKL and the Polynesian when I get back. I hope they are there by then. I'll get one regardless, but wouldn't mind saving the $10 a night. Thanks for doing this disneyguy. It's a big help to those who are planning a trip. It may prompt a few more grocery stops.

When at CSR last month, the policy was the same as it is at POR -- fridges are free to those who don't already have them in their rooms.

We stayed at POFQ from 11/1-11/8. We did not have a fridge in room. I called down and asked if we could get one free of charge since the resort was in the process of installing tham. They said, "Absolutely" and we had one that day.

Is it true...I think I read it here.....That there will still be a charge for the value resorts?

Kind of interesting.....$55 per night for the all stars and they want you to spend approx. another 20% per night for a fridge?

Anyway I always take 2 of those softsided folding coolers, one to hold adult bevereges and one for food/snacks

Honestly, I think the fridges should be in all of the resorts, but am not shocked by them not being in the values. There has to be some extra perks for staying in the deluxes and moderates other than food selection and space. Again, I think they should be in all of them.

I just got back Thursday night from our trip. We stayed at POR-Riverside and did not request a refrigerator. Our room had one though. We also did not pay for it. It was free of charge.

I just wanted to say that CBR is in the process of getting the refrigerators in the rooms. A report in AllEars has an AllEars reader that was there October 10-16th, and they said there was big tractor trailers in the parking lots, and that certain buildings were closed sot the fridges could be put in.

By my experience, when you stay at the Values, if you get two adjoining rooms, one will have a fridge and you won't have to pay for it.

I'll let you know how consistent this is, because we'll be checking into PC twice when we go down next week.

Ok, I got the PM. We returned Sunday from POFQ. Yes, refrigerator there. Worked out for us. Building 4 is where we stayed. Oh, and what a pleasant experience. Just thought I'd add that.

I'm happy to report that Contemporary had a fridge in the room at no cost and without requesting one. It is a bit hidden, inside the dresser under the tv.

I just wanted you all to know that ddoll has just informed me that at the Swan there is NO refrigerators, just the minibar.
