Quick Question about parking...

Mom and I are driving down from here and going to the Boardwalk tomorrow night to see the 2 sports stars that will be there. We want to go to a park as well. Can we park at the Boardwalk and then take Disney transportation around? Or is there a time limit?

Re: Quick Question about parking...

Boardwalk has a day lot where you can park. You can also valet park if you want. I am pretty sure that there is no time limit on the day lot,and of course, there is no time limit on the valet parking.

Re: Quick Question about parking...

We stayed at the Contemporary last month and have a friend who lives in Orlando join us for two days. He was able to park at the Contemporary without problem, they didn't even verify I was a guest, but I had problems parking there a few years ago. We had breakfast at CRT but were coming back to Sammy Duval's later in the day to ride waverunners. The security CM refused to let me park. Acused me of just trying to park my car next to MK, this despite my being on gold plan and staying at the Beach and having the all resort/park parking pass.

Re: Quick Question about parking...

That's why I tell people who want to park at Contemporary to get a PS for any of the restaurants, even though they don't want to eat there. At least you'll be able to tell the guard at the gate that you have a PS for the restaurant, and you'll be able to get onto Contemporary grounds. Of course,if you want to stay the day, then you'll have to valet park.(BTW,cancel the PS when you get there so someone else can have it).

Re: Quick Question about parking...

I have parked at other resorts to "check them out" and lost time and found myself in the parks...No questions asked...

Re: Quick Question about parking...

I highly doubt that they will actually tow your car if you aren't back within the required three hours. I have never heard of that happening.

Re: Quick Question about parking...

I don't think they'll actually tow. The don't really track self parked cars that hard. So, if you get through the security checkpoint and pay your three dollars, or not, you're safe.

I've parked in the contemporary lots, to the left by the low rise buildings with no issues

Re: Quick Question about parking...

I'll be staying at the Contemporary next week. My inlaws are going to pick us up at the airport and take us to WDW. We all have PS for Cinderella's Gala Feast that night. Then they're staying off site somewhere and coming back next day for Kona Cafe PS for breakfast, park touring and MVMCP with us. Can I get a parking tag based on my reservation on their car? They're leaving after the 2nd day. Would the tag allow us to resort hop to see the xmas decor?

Re: Quick Question about parking...

We always do the PS trick at Baorwalk (thank you Spoodles!!!). You can valet park at Boardwalk for a few dollars, or you can self-park for free just as you drive through the gate. I never feel guilty about this, though, because we always spend a small fortune at the Boardwalk on our way back out to the car... hair braids, crepes, vidoe arcades, the doggone-fattening bakery, etc... Our investment is probably the same as if we spent the day in a park!

What I have done is this: I check in and get my parking pass. Half an hour later, after I get to my room,I go back to check-in and say I can't find my pass and could I have another one. That works every time.

Since I won't have a car, can't I just register their car on my pass? Will they check to see if it's on site each night? I didn't think so.
