Your favorite resort

Lots of DC members have gone to WDW alot of times and have stayed at many resorts...in your opinions, what resorts are you favorites and why?

TIA

Re: Your favorite resort

The Coronado Springs Resort is my favorite so far. But last night I dreamt of the Carribean Beach Resort for some reason :P

CSR is my favorite because it is so beautiful. I think it's personal taste. That place had a neat romantic feel. I loved it.

Re: Your favorite resort

Wilderness Lodge and the Cabins are two of my favovites. They have the feeling of being so far away from everything, plus the golfcarts are fun to drive at the Wilderness Cabins!

Re: Your favorite resort

The Grand Floridian is my Favorite by far. We honeymooned there and it was incredible! However, we can't do that type of trip very often so we usually stay at moderates. I would have to say that Port Orleans -Riverside is my Fav. followed closely by Carribbean Beach Resort. My DH's favorite is The Contemporary.

Re: Your favorite resort

Well, we've only ever stayed at the AS Music (a few times), PO Riverside and this trip we will be staying at the Pop Century. I have liked all three, but I really like the Music. We have 2 little boys (2 1/2 & 4 1/2) so as of yet, we haven't really required a bigger place. I think that if we ever stay at the Poly or Carribbean Beach that we would really like that-maybe mext time, but I think that the boys would fall in love with the All Star Movies. I just can't fathom paying an arm and a leg for a hotel room when we are gone most of the time. When we can spend more time at the resort then we'll "upgrade"

No question, Animal Kingdom....why? the smells, the music, the decor, the rooms, the animals, the pool area, BOMA....the entire atmosphere.

Re: Your favorite resort

I have stayed at AS movies, sports and music, CBR and POR. I would have to say that CBR is my favorite because I loved the tropical feel. I would love to be able to afford to go to Poly or GF , but our budget dictates a moderate.

Re: Your favorite resort

Its so funny- perhaps this is why they have so many different themes. I did not like CBR as much as PO and I dont like the way they have 2 port orleans now- I like the one with the french quarter feel and to me that is PO. We are trying PC this next trip and almost stayed at AK but a friend of mine said that it was cool early in the morning but lame any other time of the day- plus the shuttle took much longer than other resorts. Id rather save the money and just sleep there than spend on a resort that I wont see as much.

Re: Your favorite resort

On my dime any of the all stars (haven't tried the pop yet).....companies dime GF or Poly.

I stay at the values not to save money, but to have more to spend on the fun stuff!

Re: Your favorite resort

I just love POFQ. It is so intimate yet so much fun at the same time, you can't beat it!

OK well I do have to say that from all of the reviews I have read I am sure I will love The Wilderness once I get a chance to stay there!

Re: Your favorite resort

Beach Club, due mostly to the location. It's nice to be so close to Epcot and The Studios..........and the pool is pretty good too.

Re: Your favorite resort

OF the ones we stayed at my choices would be: Deluxes, the Yacht Club location, location, location, we spend a lot of time at EPCOT and MGM, plus the pool is simply the best we have ever used. For the moderates it would have to be Carribean Beach Resort, our stay there was the most relaxing of all the trips and the pool is very nice as well.

We do want to try the rest of the resorts over time and I think WL might become our favorite deluxe once we stay there.

Re: Your favorite resort

All-Stars and Pop Century are awesome. We used to stay at Fort Wilderness when we had a camper - I'd love to stay there again.
