All Star Movies?

I've stayed in the AS Music & Sports and am about to stay at the AS Movies for the first time. Any comments or suggestions on good/bad rooms?

We have stayed at Sports (Surf's Up) and Music (Calypso) and Movies several times. We have stayed in Mighty Ducks (at our sons request) and I wouldn't do that again...its very far away from the bus stop and food court. We have stayed at Herbie the Love Bug, but I didn't care for it. I think Fantasia would be cool, except they charge for because they are near the pool. I would also think you would hear alot of the pool noise from your room. I HIGHLY recommend staying in Toy Story (both my son and daughter LOVE Buzz and Woody.) It is very close to the bus stop, the food court, pool, and playground. Also, there will not be a lot of traffic "walking" by your room because there are no other sections after it. I would DEFINETLY request a 2nd or 3rd floor. The foot traffic on the first floor can be noisy at times (ie: late at night or early in the morning.)

We have really enjoyed our stays at All Stars Resorts, and now that we have purchased a DVC Membership at Old Key West Resort, we still enjoy going to the All Stars pools every trip.

My daughter an d I stayed there in 2000 in the Mighty Ducks building. It was really far away from everything. I wouldnt reccomend that paticular building unless you seek seclusion. Fantasia was pretty close to the hub of it all. If you go to Deb Willis's site, she has a map and it shows which number buildings are where and it will help you when requesting a room. As for the resort itself, I loved it there. The rooms were small, but were perfect for just my daughter and I. The price was great and the food court was decent. I always stay at one of the All Star's because I never spend much time in the room and it really is very kid friendly...My daughter made so many frineds to play with at the pool and arcade and we met up with most of them every night after the parks closed. Again, go to WDIG.Com and check out the resort map...once you find the paticular building you want, fax your room request 4 days before you go...always have a second choice though. I wish I knew about this option when I booked my trip in 2000. Best of luck and hope you enjoy this great hotel. Please let me know how you make out.

Thanks, Mickey!

Does anyone know if the Toy Story buildings are considered "preferred" meaning they'll charge me more for requesting this section?

I recently made reservations recently for my sister and they told me that the "preferred rooms" are the ones surrounding the pool and in front of the main building. That would mean at Movies that Fantasia would be "preferred" Toy Story should be at a regular rate.
