Pop Century

I've read lots of good reviews on PC. I'm wondering if anyone can make room request suggestions? I'd like something somewhat quiet and close to the park buses. Kids are 4yo, 2yo, & 8mo. DW is 35yo (but you probably didn't need to know that ).

Any helpful suggestions would be great!

Jeff -
I think I remember Tinkerbell saying that the 90's buildings were nice. Quiet yet close to things. PM her to be sure, but I am alomst positive that is what she reported.

Hey the wife is the one you need to worry about the most- tired kids will be tired but a tired mom can kill a good day- I booked the PC with the prime location rooms so that I wont have to walk back to a room on the other side of the world at the end of the day!! I did that for me!

Re: Pop Century

If you book a preferred room you are in the 60's buildings which are located directly behind the main lobby and they surround the Hippy Dippy Pool. You can try and suggest something in the back of the building which will be near the lake and most likely a quiet room that is closer to Classic Hall and the WDW Transportation.

Re: Pop Century

You can request it now but it is not guaranteed, my suggestion would be to fax the resort with your request about 10 days prior to arrival when the reservation downloads into their system and then reiterate your request at check-in.

Re: Pop Century

I might do that since we are checking in around midnight on a friday- that way we can have them ready when we get there! Is there such a thing as checking in before you actually arrive?? I know you can check out before you actually leave- any thoughts?

Re: Pop Century

We stayed in the 80's, and they were fine. The 70's would have been closer to the main building, but not much. If I go again, I will probalby request the 50's area. Basically right next to the main building, and seems to be a bit more quiet than elsehwere.

Re: Pop Century

Unfortunately not, rooms are technically first come, first served so everyone has an equal shot, they aren't allowed to check you in before you arrive however the Room Assignment in the back office can usually grant a request but it once again is not guaranteed.

Re: Pop Century

Im curious that if we are a grand gathering -(we are) will they honor a request like that since they know we are all coming together and we all have preferred location rooms.

Re: Pop Century

Same is true for some rooms in the 50's and 60's as well, if you ask your front desk host/ess they can hopefully work with you some in trying to get a room with a view.
