Polynesian Garden View Conceirge Room

We've booked a Polynesian concierge garden view room and leave in 22 DAYS!!! Just wondering if anyone has stayed concierge there and can recommend a floor. I understand all non-suite concierge rooms are in the Hawaii bldg. and not all rooms have a balcony. We requested a non-smoking room and were told they are all on the 1st two floors. My husband really wants a balcony but I think only 3rd floor rooms have balconys. I would like a balcony but don't want the cigarette smoke odor to go along with it. Any suggestions? Maybe someone out there can share their experiences. I'm sure being the Polynesian they're all great and I'm worrying for nothing. :nervous

dab, welcome to DisneyCentral! Wow, Poly concierge, I know we have a couple of survivors here that will gladly share their stories.

All concierge rooms at the Poly have balconies, including the suites. So don't worry. I believe that all the concierge rooms are in Hawaii and Tonga, but I could be wrong. Make sure you request your non-smoking room and a balcony a couple of weeks (now) before checking in. Also, when you check in, make sure they filled your requests. The resort shouldn't be full when you are there, so it shouldn't be a problem. Have a great trip!

I knew I had this somewhere. Here is some great information about concierge services at the Polynesian, including a special email address and phone number to contact the concierge receptionist. You can call in your requests to that number.

Thanks for the info Mickey. I filled out my requests on the vacation planning itenerary that the concierge desk mailed me a few weeks ago. They booked all of my priority seating (even Cinderella's Royal Table!!) Should I follow up with a phone call?

We are staying there in September/October! And we are very excited.. Melissa from the concierge has called and email me many times getting everything all worked out the way we wanted.. I'm sure that you will have a great trip!! You will have to tell me all about it. I have read that the smoke smell isn't that bad, we have requested a room with a balcony and are going to bring a plug in nutralizer sent just in case..
Look forward to reading about your trip.

Lisa:)

P.S. I got so excited by your post that I didn't even welcome you!

WELCOME TO DISNEY CENTRAL!! WE ARE GLAD TO HAVE YOU!!!

Sure, it wouldn't hurt to introduce yourself and find out where everything stands. It sure would be nice to form some sort of relationship with someone there so when you show up and something isn't right, you have someone on your side.
