I'm totally excited about our trip . . . March 28,2005 . . . first family trip to WDW!

Flight reservations: done. Hotel reservation: done (PC). Airport transfer: done (Quicksilver, of course). Park Hopper Passes: done. Thanks to all of you who generously gave your advice, suggestions, and input!

But now what do I do?? I'm already going through withdrawal of "planning." I realized I came to DC today but not to get planning advice 'cuz I don't have any more planning to do. What do I do for the next 3+ months?? We'll be counting down the days . . . I need something else to do . . . I need to plan . . .

Get ready to start making your PSs!
Also, you can write a letter to Santa. From what I understand there is a new updated Unofficial Guide coming out in Jan or Feb that is updated to reflect all of the new changes with tickets, EMH, etc. Maybe add a gift card to Amazon.com to your Christmas list. It isn't very expensive and would make a lovely stocking stuffer!

Great idea. Thanks. I religiously read the Unofficial Guide every night before I go to bed . . . 2005 edition but obviously not with the new ticket info.
Let's see, I could start packing. We won't need our summer clothes up here in Wisconsin for quite a while!

For me, it was researching all the restaurants, figuring out which ones I wanted to go to on which days. Then planning the PS's.

Do you have any tours or special events planned, like Illuminations Cruises?

Have you made a spread sheet yet? That's one of my favorite planning tools too.

Blasphemy! You can never stop planning! Have you considered what mode of transportation you will use to get to each park?

What about your plans to ride in the front of the monorail?

Have you scheduled your bathroom breaks?

What resorts are you going to tour?

What stores at DTD are "must sees"?

BTW, researching WDW restaraunts is part of the fun and part of the planning. The allears website linked above have all the restaraunt menues (though some our out of date).

Whatever your trip entails, I highly recommend you visit Disney Boardwalk and eat at Spoodles. Fantastic!

Daily itinerary. Mine goes something like this:

Date, Park, Park hours, parade/fireworks times, PS conf #'s, PS times, budget for each day, where each meal will be eaten, etc.

Make a packing list....I spend weeks adding to my spreadsheet of items I'm going to pack and those I don't want to forget.

Disney Dollars....start saving $$$ for your kids (or yourself) so that when you go, they have their own money to spend and they won't ask for something all the time (remember, there is a gift shop after every ride)
