$79 for Carribean Beach?

I have never (gasp) stayed at a Disney hotel. We are planning a trip in May, and are staying at the Orange Lake Resort - It's already paid for, so I
have no choice at this point.

I am thinking of extending our stay by a few days. I called WDW info last night and was quoted $79 per night for Carribean Beach or Port Orleans.

Sounds great to me - what do you think?

Also, do we know which parks/days will have EE once the new plan starts?

Thanks,
Lisa

Re: $79 for Carribean Beach?

Yes, that is an awesome rate per night. Definetly book it. About your current hotel reservation: Call and check with your hotel, and see if you can cancel. Many hotels have very liberal policies, and you only have to call 24 hours before your reservation date, it is worth a try.

I would go with PO over CBR, but that is personal prefernce. I love the theming of CBR, but I like the small resort feel you get a POFQ.

Yes, the new EE plan is out. You want to check it out at www.allearsnet.com because this new plan is a lot more complex. It includes one early morning and one late night per park per week. On the late nights the parks may remain open as much as three hours late. A lot of new rides have been added to the EE list so be sure to check that out.

$79 sounds like a good price. I'd like to try the CBR one day. It seems like a really nice place

Re: $79 for Carribean Beach?

Take the deal and do what disneyguy suggested with your other hotel.
We stayed at POR in November and paid somewhere around 85.00 which was a steal.
go ahead, pick up the phone!!!!!

WHOA! That sounds like a GREAT price. We are going in March and we're paying more than that to stay in All Star Movies. I would love to stay in CBR as that is the one that a good friend keeps talking about. I imagine you would really like it. I hope you have a fantastic trip!

Re: $79 for Carribean Beach?

The problem with the Orange Lake reservations is it's a timeshare thing that
we got roped into during our last visit. We didn't BUY the timeshare, but we
bought a vacation package that includes 7 nights lodging. It must be used by May of 2005 and we have to attend a sales presentation - JOY.

The condo is gorgeous and we'll have 2 bedrooms, full kitchen, laundry, so I am looking forward to it, but at the same time, it would be nice to spend the
entire week at a disney hotel and enjoy the benefits of free parking, early entry and late entry and the MEAL PLAN!!!!!

Thanks for your help!

Re: $79 for Carribean Beach?

I'm planning a trip for may to stay at POR, and I just wanted to know how you got such a great rate?? Do you have code or special membership? I have AAA, disney visa, and an AP, so I would love to get that rate as well. What are your dates for your trip? Maybe we fall under different seasons, but I can change my dates for that rate!

Re: $79 for Carribean Beach?

We're in the process of planning a trip this May and we all decided on staying at CBR again. Did you use any discount codes when calling for the price or was that the price they gave you? I am going to use Mouseketrips to book our trip and am hoping for a good price on everything.

Re: $79 for Carribean Beach?

DItto here on CBR. In case you're wondering, if you look at the REAL price - as quoted on the Disney website - it's nearly twice that ! (139 or something like that for a standard room!). CBR is scenic. A little big and sprawling, but nice and scenic, and for that price, I'd do it in an instant.
