Where should we stay at PC?
I saw caver's suggestion of making the room request five days before going. Those of you who are experienced PC visitors, what are the fave buildings to stay in? DS(8) would probably enjoy the icons he's most familiar with but DH and I are always "reminiscing" the 60's and 70's so that sounds like fun, too. DS will be excited no matter where we are. Looking for somewhat quieter area, somewhat close to stuff. Any suggestions? Any advantages/disadvantages to 1st, 2nd, or 3rd floor?

Re: Where should we stay at PC?
The 70's A is the closest to the bus stops, and Everything Pop. That is where we stayed and I loved the easy access to the busses. I was on the fourth floor, and on the end closest to the busses. There are only a few elevators so I would say the second floor, on the wing closest to the busses. That way you could easily use the stairs, without killing yourself everytime you leave your room. That area is fairly quiet. If you are looking for a really quiet area I would recomend the 90's. BTW: The theming in the 70's is great. I really loved seeing the Big Wheel everyday.
Also, the thing about making a room request five days in advance. If you call PC five days before your stay they will not be able to see your reservation. Your reservation isn't transfered to PC from CRO(Central Reservations Office) until 3 days before your stay. I would recomend faxing your room request to the Room Assigner at PC 2-3 days before your stay, and you can also call CRO now and add a room request to your reservation.

Re: Where should we stay at PC?
Quick correction real quick from a room assigner at Disney, your reservation "should" download 10 days ahead however system challenges may delay this. In addition if you send your fax before 10 days each resort has a 31-day file to put paperwork in ahead of time (such as room requests). Honestly a fax is probably the most effective method, or of course a well placed phone call to the resort back office (very hard to do).

Re: Where should we stay at PC?
We stayed in the 70's building also. Good location and close to the bus stop. We had a room on the second floor that was close to the elevators. We enjoyed the PC and would definitely stay there again.
