Swan/Dolphin as low at $220 a night.

Just wanted to pass along a great price for The Swan and Dolphin resorts. Saw it on Hotels.com. Still can't afford it, but wanted to let you know if you were planning on staying there.

Is the teacher rate only at the Swan and Dolphin, or throughout WDW.

Isn't the teacher/nurse's rate $149?

Re: Swan/Dolphin as low at $220 a night.

I'd love to return to stay at the Swan, but there's so many Disney deluxe resorts we haven't stayed at yet. $220 a night's not a bad price though.

Re: Swan/Dolphin as low at $220 a night.

We are members of Starwood, and when we travel we try to stay at a Starwood hotel. we can use the points we accumulate for a low rate at Swan/Dolphin.

Re: Swan/Dolphin as low at $220 a night.

As far as I know, all I have to do is show them a pay stub when I check in(if I was ever going to stay there).

Re: Swan/Dolphin as low at $220 a night.

I went to their website to check it out. It's now $169 and, yes, all you need to do is show a recent check stub. Here's my question for all you experienced resort people . . . is $169/night at the Swan worth cancelling reservation at PC ($126 or something close to that). It sounds like Swan might be more suited more for adults? Have 8 yr. old DS . . . stay with PC?

Teacher, military and nurse rates: $139 at the Dolphin, $149 at the Swan. (according to mousesavers.com)

We've been ending up at the Swan and Dolphin for several reasons in the past few years:

-we like the experience and convenience of an Epcot Resort.
-when I call the Yacht and Beach they've been booked up on the days we wanted.
-it is a bit noisy and crowded at the Y and B also.
-the Boardwalk is too expensive.
-main reason: I have been able to get the lowest price consistently at the Swan and Dolphin and this is how:

You can get a 50% discount on rack rates (full price) if you have:
a) AAA membership (show card at check-in)
b) Entertainbook card (don't need coupon, some books don't have one)
c) Buy an annual passport (worth it if you are staying more than 2 or 3 nights). If you have to wait until you get to a park to buy one Sw & Dolph will let you check-in, then go to a park, purchase the annual pass, but you must show your annual passport to the front desk by midnight.

They set aside a number of rooms at different discounts. On my last trip, the lowest rate I could get was at $224 a night which I reserved. Then I kept calling back saying "will you check for disc. rates for me for these nights..." and finally, the month before my trip they released some rooms for $169 and I got that rate and cancelled the other rate.

I think they hold some rooms in reserve for conferences and when the rooms don't all get used they put them back into the system. It just depends when you call - so keep calling back.

Fearless,
Where did you see that? I went to mousesavers and couldn't find it? Thanks.
