Toy Story Fan - worth a trip to ASM?

We will be staying at POFQ in Feb. I'm wondering if it would be worth a ride over to ASM for DS to see the huge Toy Story figures?
Any opinions? Can anyone tell me what Toy Story characters are on display?

Thanks!

I think it is definitely worth it. We have many great pictures of our son from there. He is also a huge Toy Story fan. They have Buzz, Woody, Bo Peep and the Sheep, Rex, the remote controlled car (can't think of his name right now), and a giant door that says Andy's room.

One thing to consider - If you have little ones and you show them this amazing "Toy Story hotel" will they be upset that they are not staying there? If not, and you have the time, go for it! Oh yeah, I wouldn't bother if I was relying on DIsney Transportation...

Good point! I think he will understand...we saw the Buzz statue at DTD last time. I guess it will depend on how much time we have.

Thanks Pooh Fan and chiasgirl!

We went last year and stayed at ASMo and my 3 year old (who is a huge Buzz Lightyear fan) was beside himself when he saw the statue. Now we're planning to go back and he wants to stay at "his" Buzz Lightyear hotel!!

Oh, absolutely! I stayed in the Fantasia building at ASMo (because I am a HUGE Sorcerer's Apprentice fan) but when we walked over to the Toy Story section, I thought it was way cooler! Any kid who loves Buzz and Woody will think it's Heaven on Earth.

Re: Toy Story Fan - worth a trip to ASM?

I have stayed at all star movies 3 times once in Fantasia, once in mighty ducks, and the third time i requested toy story. we ended up staying right in the buzz lightyear building. it was so fun. I love the little toy soldiers the are peeking over the top of the building. I also liked how I only come up to buzz's ankle haha. I think it is worth the trip but dont stop at toy story the whole resort is something to look at

Re: Toy Story Fan - worth a trip to ASM?

In 2003, the first time my DS went (with me and my mom) we stayed at CSR and took him over to see Buzz at ASMo...it was raining and he didn't get to play around, but he loved seeing it all none the less. This past year we stayed at ASMo in the Dalmation building, but the pictures I took of him in the Toy Story area on our last day there were priceless!! If you've got a little Buzz fan it's definitely a "don't miss"!!

Yes, go! DS didn't want to leave, but I was able to distract him with the "We have other things to see" line.

Thanks!

we stayed at the Toy Story building during our wedding trip and it's perfect for TS fans. i'm one myself so i was thrilled to see Buzz, Woody, Rex, RV, Bo Peep hanging out in Andy's Room. it's a fun building and it's worth a stay if you plan on going there in the future. the room has a poster of TS and the wall paper on the top of the wall that meets the ceiling is TS. the bed spread is only of all 5 buildings but TS is on them.

Re: Toy Story Fan - worth a trip to ASM?

Thanks everyone! We will make a trip over on our first day since we won't be going into the parks until the next day. I'll be sure to post a trip report when we get back. I appreciate all the feedback!!
