Re: What is your favorite moderate?

It's a love it/hate it resort - and I loved Coronado.

We rode around and looked at all the other moderates a few times, and it just wasn't the same to me.

But, that's just me! LOL!

I really liked it, though!

Re: What is your favorite moderate?

I voted for Riverside. I have stayed at CBR - didn't like it...too spread out and didn't feel disney to me, CSR - again didn't like it...too spread out and didn't care for the southwest decor.. I have not stayed at French Quarter. I loved Riverside, and would stay there again if I can't afford WL! We requested a building close to the main area and were right across a bridge from the check in building, market place food court, etc.

Re: What is your favorite moderate?

If I had to pick a moderate, I would go with POFQ. I like the closeness of all of the building to the check-in, bus stop and pools. I don't think I would enjoy the HUGE ones. I actually almost stayed at CBR one year and am sitll glad they closed it and I got shifted to WL for free...lol

They are all nice but we really love POR. It has a certain charm that is hard to beat.

Re: What is your favorite moderate?

I stayed at CSR October of 2003 and loved it. The pool area was someting else and I loved the theme. The main office has the dome that when you walk in a look up...it is awe inspiring. We had a wonderful room near a bus stop and only about 3 or 4 minutes from the pool. The walk to the main office might be a little long for some but it was a beautiful walk over a bridge and water. Next time, I want to stay in the Cabana's where the hammocks were. We were in Rancho 7A I think.

I'm a POFQ fan myself. I also love POR, so it was a tossup.

Re: What is your favorite moderate?

My family and I stayed at the POFQ three years ago. We loved it. Our rooms were close to the food court and pool. The decor was nice. The atmosphere outside was very pleasant and cozy. The kids loved the pool with the water slide. We also had fun riding the boat to DTD several times. I have never stayed at any of the other moderates, so I don't know much about them. If you stay at the POFQ you might want to request a room close to the pool and food court. These rooms are also close to the boat launch and to the buses.

Re: What is your favorite moderate?

POFQ because it is small and has the best features of any moderate. I mean you can't beat the boat directly to DTD.

Re: What is your favorite moderate?

We've been able to stay at all the mods except CSR. My absolute hands down favorite is POR. The Southern charm, the peacefullness, the flowers....just LOVE it!!! My DD and I did a "Mommy and me" trip, and we felt like Princessess.

We like the FQ too, just not as much, it just (to us) lacked something that Riverside had.

Also, it felt so "romantic" made me wish DH was there!!! (he did end up coming, but that's another story-lol)

Re: What is your favorite moderate?

POR is our fav. I agree with the romance. Strolling along the river, the big mansions, makes you feel like a real southern belle.
we have tried CSR but we think its too spread out. We chose to be robbed by the soda machines the entire weekend because it was too far to walk to the front (even after we paid for the refill cup!)
CBR is fun, and would be our second choice.
Never been at POFQ

Me too. I haven't stayed in either of PO resorts (yet) but I loved Coronado Springs. Beautiful, great theming, awesome pool and wonderful food!

Re: What is your favorite moderate?

Our absolute favorite is CBR. We have stayed at PO and were not to thrilled with it. We have also stayed at a deluxe and still would recommend CBR. In fact, when we think of Disney we automatically think of CBR. I guess it is all what you get use to. If you do decide to stay at CBR request Aruba or Jamaica. They are just a short walk to the main building and food court and there is a great little bridge for you to walk over where they play carribbean music and it really puts you in a great mood. We absolutley love it there. Also, the rooms at PO are much smaller than CBR. We just joined DVC so we are not staying there this year, but if that were not the case we would have definitely booked CBR. Good Luck!!
