Epcot Disappointment

I have been trying to find out about having my daughter's picture put on a Legacy Tile in memory of the first year that she has been gone from us. I finally called Epcot and they said they could not use a picture we already had. I asked her could they take a picture of the picture we had. We have done this a few times with our digital camera and it came out very good. She said NO. I told her it was very important to me and could I talk to her supervisor. She said yes, and then I was disconnected.

How sad and unfortunate that the CM couldn't be more courtious! Did they give you a reason for denying you that wish? Is it something technical?

I asked her had they ever tried it and she said that was just the way they had always done. I don't want to give up as this is very important to me. I know it can be done as we took a picture of a picture of something else and it turned out great. When she said she was transferring me she said "Have a Magical Day" yeah sure.

Don't give up on this, eventually you'll get to a person who isn't "Doing business as it's always been done"

Gosh Leslie, definitely try again! I hope the CM didn't *mean* for you to get disconnected, because that would be plain RUDE!

I know it's possible too. I think you just need to get through to the right person. Sometimes talking to people at Disney is like hitting your head against a brick wall...but if you do it enough times the wall will start to weaken!

(Well, your head would probably weaken before the wall, but...BAD ANALOGY! Just forget I ever mentioned it!)

Don't give up. I know how much this means to you!

Yes, Leslie, call back and ask for a manager first thing. Let them know how important this is to you.

If that doesn't work, I'd email wdw customer service...they seem quite good about replying, and they will be able to route the email to a more appropriate department.

Keep trying! You can almost always get your dream to come true at WDW, if you just keep trying at it! I'll have my fingers crossed for you! (Oh, wow, does THAT make typing a lot harder!)

You have to keep going at them. I am sure with enough persistance, you will get your wish. I can't see why they wouldn't do something like that. If you don't get anywhere by phone or e-mail, maybe you could take a long weekend and head down to talk to someone in person.

Leslie I hate to sound repetitive, but everyone is right. I agree w/Hiner, speaking to someone is important. Hey, if I was going to get a free ice cream from guest services (faced them in person) for being mistreated by security, imagine how much further you could get!

But seriously, this is important to you, and the more pushy and insistent you are, the more likely you are to get results IMHO. Good luck, and let us know how it turns out

you should be pushy--this seems very important to you--im sure if you explained the circumstances to a manager they would try there best--i would HOPE that they would try there best...it is disney afterall

. I cant believe WDW would say/do that...thats not like them, well thats not usually like them. Dont give up, fight, fight, fight until the end and you will win! Trust me! I give you all my best luck and prayers on your "mission" on the pic.
