Boardwalk Inn?
I rarely see trip reports or info from anyone staying at this hotel? Is it not a good place to stay? Our trip is still a long way off but after reading the values vs. moderates debate, I was tossing the idea around to do 4nights at ASMo followed by 4 at Boardwalk Inn(I think the kids would LOVE the pool and the nightlife..DH and I would enjoy the nightlife and the close proximity to EPCOT/MGM).
Any Boardwalk Inn info/experiences would be greatly appreciated ![]()

Re: Boardwalk Inn?
I haven't stayed there either, but this is the next place Pete and I are going to stay. We were supposed to stay there for our 1st wedding anniversary, but chose the Poly instead. BIG mistake!

Re: Boardwalk Inn?
BWI is a very nice place to stay (have stayed there 3 times now). The location is fantastic for MGM & EPCOT. The board walk also offers great night life..... ESPN zone, Atlantic Dace Co., Jelly Rolls (our fav.). Lots of shops and restaurants in the area also (ESPN, Flying fish, Spoodles)
During the summer months they have had little skits. shows on the board walk also. As far as the pool, was not all that crazy about it. If you have kids, stay at the Beach club (just accross the lake) Storm-along bay is the best.

Re: Boardwalk Inn?
I haven't stayed at the Boardwalk, but did stay across the lake at the Beach Club. The location can't be beat for getting to Epcot and the Studio. It's a quick walk from there over to the Boardwalk. You may want to consider Beach Club if your kids are into the pool, and you are still a stones throw from the Boarwalk nightlife.

Re: Boardwalk Inn?
Just a quick ? on the Beach Club pool..is there a nice slide on it like Boardwalk. My kids will be almost 7 and 12 when we fly from Hawaii to WDW for vacation and all the pics I have seen of Stormalong Bay, I didn't see a slide(the kids, especially the older one)LOVED the slide at POFQ more than the pool itself so a nice slide is a must I think.
Beach Club is an option too but it just didn't GRAB me like Boardwalk did in all the pics I've seen. Thanks for the help everyone.

Re: Boardwalk Inn?
I had the same debate awhile back between Beach Club and Boardwalk. From the responses I got it seems you really can't go wrong with either.
http://www.disneycentral.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=14925 We booked at Boardwalk and can't wait until Nov 26th to check it out!

Re: Boardwalk Inn?
The pool at Beach Club has real sand in the bottom, which is pretty cool.

Re: Boardwalk Inn?
Our favorite resort is the BW. We love the hotel itself, as well as the boardwalk activity plus the ability to easily walk to MGM and EPCOT is wonderful. Also, DD loves the pool. She thinks the slide is awesome & even likes to play under the Dumbo spray. And she's 19!!!

The big ship you see at Stormalong bay is the top of the slide. It winds around and dumps you into the pool, very cool! I prefer Y&BC, but would never say no to a freebe at the Boarwalk -harry

Re: Boardwalk Inn?
ooooooo - it's coming to get you Dana - it has a nice red balloon for you.
Down, down, down in the sewer you go.... The thought of shooting out of a clown's mouth does not appeal to me either, but Boardwalk is a beautiful resort and you have the advantage of so much entertainment and some really good restaurants. (Just keep an eye out for clowns... ) |
