AP discounts on rooms????

When will the new AP discounts be released? Mickey said he thought they would be going to a flat 30% discount on rooms after the new year, and so far no news. Anyone heard anything??? I am hoping to snag a discount for August. What about packages or Disney visa deals?? C'mon, someone must be in the know.

I think it all depends on how the new packages do. If they fill up the resorts then there isn't any reason to do discount.

Yes, there will definitely be some, no there will not be any...I am definitely not getting my hopes up anymore. I'll pay rack rate if I have to, just gimme my darn Disney trip!

Mickey said that there will still be AP discounts on rooms. I just booked another trip and he said that there will be discounts for AP holders. It's suppose to be a flat 30% or the like. Not as much as we were getting in some instances, but still a discount.

30% is still plenty good for me! I hope that does remain true, because it's definitely way better than nothing!

No problem. I can't see them taking the discount away. We are not eligible for the new meal plan. We need something to keep us getting the AP's....other than two trips a year..lol

Definitely. Discounts would be my primary reason for purchasing APs for our trip. (That and we plan to make several trips this year, but that's beside the point!

I agree. I think they may hold off on room only codes for a while, but they should continue with the AP ones.

I can't believe they won't offer AP discounts. They've already offered two AP discount periods this year already. And the new package aren't really that much cheaper than the old, unless you stay longer. According to mousesavers history they didn't announce AP's for after 7/4 until May the last two years. Or maybe they will go to that flat discount for the year. Like you say, either way it's good!
