Nightlife at the resorts???

Which of the resorts do you think is the most fun at night... you know, after a long day of parks and kids -- which one is the best for kicking back with a cocktail and having some adult time? We have stayed at BWV, which has all those bars on the Boardwalk... that was fun! Any others?

Re: Nightlife at the resorts???

We love having drinks by the pool at POR, then walking around the river. Not very high key. But the Southern Bell and Mississippi Mud Slide drinks are great.

Re: Nightlife at the resorts???

I've read, and want to try, POR has a bon fire where you toast marshmellows and make s'mores. Ft. Wilderness has the bon fire and movies. CBR has the poolside bar and sometimes has a band (we didn't notice the band last year, but when we stayed way back, we saw them). That's all I can think of right now.

Re: Nightlife at the resorts???

I have a feeling that all the resorts have quite a nightlife, you just have to head to the lounge of each resort. I have a feeling the Boardwalk probably has a real high nightlife.

POR has piano bob (or whatever his name is...). He's cool! :) Plus, you've got Downtown Disney just a boatride away from POR, POFQ, and Saratoga Springs (And OKW?). Remeber that the boat only runs 'til 11pm at the PO resorts, so plan accordingly... :)

Does the last boat leave DTD exactly at 11PM?? Also, I assume that when the boat stops there are still busses, right???

A lot of guests are very happy with visiting the California Grill lounge which is open until Midnight, the view is amazing and they have very good drinks.

We love to do karaoke at Kimonos in the Swan when we're there. They have it every night.

Nope, the last boat leaves around 1am.

"Piano Bob" at the POR is too much fun and we highly recommend it. Don't know about any other resorts.

Re: Nightlife at the resorts???

For nightlife I'd have to go with any of the Epcot resorts. You've got the Boardwalk, Swan, Dolphin, BC&YC all so close together.
You can relax on the BC side or head over to the Boardwalk for some fun.

Re: Nightlife at the resorts???

I love going to the Boardwalk after a long day at the parks. If not there, than I'm usually back at the Swan just sitting back and relaxing.

Re: Nightlife at the resorts???

For a relaxing/romantic time, we like to bring a bottle of wine or champagne down to the beach at the Yacht/Beach club, sit on the swing-chair or in lounge chairs, just me and my honey.

It's the BEST!

Re: Nightlife at the resorts???

One of the most relaxing and wonderful things I did was sit on my balcony at the AKL in the "moonlight" with a drink (Pete was asleep inside) and watch the animals stroll around the savanna looking for the right place to sleep. Not exactly exciting nightlife, but very unique.
