Magic Express
Hi,
I just found out about the Magic Express and I have a few questions. Are the shuttles that take you to your resort reserved for "your" resort or do you have to truck around to 4 of them before you get to yours??? Will there be a "terminal" like we find at the Magic Kingdom where you go to your designated resort area bus?? It sounds great, but I wonder how it works. Frank |

Re: Magic Express
Frank,
I'm thinking that since this is a collaboration with Mears, the service is run the same way -- trekking to 4 resorts before you get to yours. Therefore, I doubt there'll be a "terminal." But, this is just speculation... . Maybe the Disney phone operators know more.

No details about this service have been released. We just know they will allow you to go from MCO to WDW. Contact Disney for all your above questions.

I recall discussing this with one of the CM's a few years ago as one of the big Mears busses came by. They said Disney would "never" get into the transportation business because of the huge liability. So much for that thinking??? Frank |

Re: Magic Express
And remember, only certain airlines are using the service so if you are not on those airlines you are on your own. I hated using mears. It is a towncar service for me from now on unless we need to rent a car.

Re: Magic Express
Mickey has all those answers. After all he introduced this service to us here a few weeks ago. Take a look at the homepage.
Hope this helps...

Re: Magic Express
One item of clarification:
If you are on an airline that is not one of the currently approved airlines, you can still use the Magical Express, the only difference is that you will have to round up your luggage and take it to the shuttle area. I would guess that Disney will add more airlines as this goes along. As far as the actual details, they haven't been released yet. I am sure Disney is waiting to see how popular this is. I wouldn't be surprised if there are several buses, one for the Magic Kingdom resorts, one for the EPCOT resorts, one of the AK resorts, etc. This definitely won't be as convenient as a town car, and no grocery stop. I think a lot of people are going to assume that you will be able to get off your flights, board the bus and be at your resort in 15 minutes. Won't they be surprised when they are still sitting on the bus at the airport after 15 minutes, and it doesn't stop at their resort until going to just about every other resort. Then again, there are a lot of people who think the airport is part of WDW and that you can get an ocean view room at the Beach Club.
