just back me, DH, DD 5 1/2 & DS 2. I can not say enough about this resort. IT IS AWESOME!!!!! First, I booked a regular room thinking I would get a parking lot view & they brought us to our room smack in the middle of over looking one of the smaller pools, beautiful!!!! We got a room in casitas 4 room #4326 right near a bus stop. The food court was alittle walk but we didn't care because you were walking around the beautiful lake or around the fountains & listening to running water. There was only a few others on the buses with us & when you walked around there was not many people. One day we spent resort hopping & after we saw the AKL, POLY & GF we were so glad with the choice we had made. GF very stuffy feeling & I wouldn't feel comfortable with my kids staying there. AKL, dark & depressing with A TON & I mean A TON of people. As my DH comented, very stressful walking through the hotel & I almost booked there Poly was OK, just don't understand why its so expensive to stay there though. I would highly recommend this resort with or without kids it was a wonderful experience IMHO. We honestly did not have one bad experience with anything at this resort.

I am sooooo happy that you had a good time. I have never stayed there but that is b/c of all of the so-so reviews I have heard on this place. It's about time it got a raving reveiw, it's not like disney to have a so-so resort!

I loved this resort too, aside from having to walk a really long way to get anywhere, I found it charming and beautiful, and the rooms are larger than the ones at the Poly and at the AKL!

I was looking at this resort for our upcoming trip since it looked alot like CBR but was scared off by the conference center. How was the food court?? I read that someone actually seats you and that it is a little more expensive?

The food court was great!!!!!!! Not sure if its more expensive than any others even if it was, probably by only a few dollars. I tried not to worry about spending on the meals your at Disney & your going to spend a ton no matter what right? Your are greated by a host & seated & a waiter comes to get your drink order & brings it to you. The thing I liked most is that there was sooooooo many choices, everyone is able to get something different. There is a Wok station, a Mexican station, a Pasta station, fresh made Pizza station, soup station, kids meal station, Grill station for burgers & grilled chicken & a deli/salad station. Everyone is completely covered. I didn't get a meal once for my DS you got so much food that he got alittle from each of us. I didn't think walking around the resort was an issue, just so beautiful. You have to walk down a hallway to get into the convention center so you don't even really know its there. So far, we've stayed @ CBR, Dixie Landing & now CSR & by far this was our absolute favorite

Wow! Are the rooms really larger?
I think that could be a big selling point to stay there.

That is sooooooo great that you loved your stay. I have never been there, almost, but that is a long story, but still never. I want to try it out someday...I hear it is a lot of fun from more people!!!

I am glad that you had such a great time at the resort. We stayed there about 2 years ago and didnt care for it. At the time it seemed like they put every and any castmember that didnt know what they were doing to work there and we had a few other things go wrong there as well. We felt the resort was too spread out for our liking. The food court though was okay. It seems that maybe the hotel is more organized now as more and more people are giving it better reviews. Maybe in the future we would try it again (although we really like the POR).

I didn't think that the resort was that spread out. I guess after doing so much walking @ the park it was nothing @ the resort, my DD 5 1/2 never even once complained about the walking

My DH brought my DD to the big pool with the slide one day & they LOVED it. My DS & I went shopping @ DTD that day so I didn't go, they loved the playground area too

Awesome! The pool was one of my favorite parts. Also we got one of the rooms with the fountains in front, so that was kind of fun too. :)

I'm so glad you enjoyed this resort. My family loves it, too! We LOVED it!

I thought the Mayan Grill had an EXCELLENT breakfast - and my kids LOVED the way the foodcourt was set up.

The atmosphere is breathtaking.
