Value Resorts

Between the value resorts, what is everyone's favorite and why?

I'm on a kind of tight budget and decided I would rather spend my extra money on fancier restraunts and souvinears, than on a room I'll hardly be in.

My main concern is bus transportation. Thanks.

Re: Value Resorts

If your main concern is bus transportation, go for PC. It's the only stop. Personally, I like ASMu MUCH better....but I think I'm just a music fanatic ;)

Re: Value Resorts

I can only speak of the PC.

It's a new facility and in pretty good condition.
Bus transportation was excellent and fast!
Excellent theming. Nice pools. Whimsical.
While I wish I could afford a moderate resort, I'd stay at the PC again and recommend it to others.

Is there any certain decade building that is better, I was thinking I'd like the 50's, but only because I'm a huge Lady and the Tramp fan.

Re: Value Resorts

we were in the 70's. All the theming looked about the same to me....but the 70's (and maybe 80's...I would have to look at a map) was positioned where you didn't have to go through Everything Pop to get to the Bus Stops.

Re: Value Resorts

We've stayed at all four. My favorite would be All Stars Movies. It really feels like you are at disney being surrounded by all the great icons.

If you want a suggestion for location at AllStars Movies, I would choose Toy Story, 2nd or 3rd floor. It is really close to the pool, bus stops and food court, but not considered "preferred" so it doesn't cost extra. It is also the coolest area with the HUGE BUZZ and Woody and RC Racer for the kids to hop in!!

Here is a link to show you pictures of the resorts:

The buildings are so close together location isn't a big issue. The 60's buildings are the loudest because of the main pool and main building.

As long as it's quiet when I sleep. And I don't plan on sleeping before midnight.

Definitely go for Pop Century. Everything is a 5 minute or less walk.

Re: Value Resorts

I would have to agree, we spent 2 weeks at PC last summer and it was great. We were in the 80's building and everything was close enough. The bus stops were outside everything Pop (which is in the check in building) and that was about a 5 minute walk. We had a pool 2 minutes away, and because it wasn't the main pool it was quite most of the time!

We've only stayed at ASMo and loved it. The bus rides weren't too bad and like BDavis said the Buzz Lightyear and Woody are COOL!!!!!!!!

We loved POP and felt the same way as you. Save money on the room because we were really only there to sleep.

Re: Value Resorts

PC is awesome! Definitely my fave. The only thing is that after Wishes, the PC bus line at the MK was unbelievable - it was lined up past the other stops. That was in Nov though, so maybe they've fixed it by now. :)

I agree with you that if the bus is a concern, go for PC. It's also much more centrally located and the bus trips to all the parks and DTD are generally shorter. We also liked ASMu but we like PC better because it's newer, better bus transportation and the TV's are bigger!
