Boardwalk Night Life.....

WDW claims there is alot of night life going on on the Boardwalk, other than Jelly Rolls and the Dance Hall. Last year when we went, there was nothing going on except the games. Has anyone been there when they've had different goings on on the Boardwalk? We enjoyed getting ice cream and walking around, but were expecting more.

Re: Boardwalk Night Life.....

It all depends the time of the year you are there. Most of the times we have visited the Boardwalk there has been jugglers, magicians, singers/entertainers, etc. I can't think of his name but the juggler is GREAT. He was the opening act for Hunchback at the Studio's and puts on a good show. I talked to him last year after a performance on the boardwalk and told him I remembered him from there and he was greatly appreciative. Anyone know his name and who I am talking about?

That's exactly what I read in a few guides. We went the middle of May and are going again this May. Is there a certain time of night/day that they perform? The on-line photos and descriptions got me all hyped last time, but no one was there.

There is a lot of stuff going on. I think it's what you make of it. What I mean there are things going on all around, you just need to stop & Join in. We have so much fun at BW.

It's no DTD, but I think it's a nice atmosphere to stroll along and watch the street performers.

Re: Boardwalk Night Life.....

Maybe we went too early last time, because there were no performers to be found anywhere. I'll make sure I check when we get there to see if there is a particular time the performers appear.

Every time we have visited it has been after 7 or 8. It is alot more fun too during the busy times with the crowds adding to the performers acts. Make sure you ask about the juggler, he is worth seeing. He juggles bowling balls, knives, you name it and picks people out of the crowd to "help" him.

We'll have to check this out when we stay in April. It sounds like good clean fun!

I love the Boardwalk Bakery. This Christmas I was there with my family and three huge cookies disappeared within one minute. (split six ways)

Re: Boardwalk Night Life.....

We stayed at BWV and had a lot of fun on the Boardwalk this year - I think a lot of it has to do with the weather. Our first two nights the weather was beautiful and there was a lot going on, jugglers, acrobats, ets. The last night turned cold, and it was totally deserted. The wind off the lake can make it a really chilly place to be. But they have some great restaurants - Spoodles is really good and the Bakery - yum!

Re: Boardwalk Night Life.....

We have seen -
- the Carlo the amazing
- the strolling band.
- The cowgirl that does tricks with a lasso.
- a juggler
- a guy that balances stuff on his face
- if you time it right you can get a decent view of the fireworks.
