Disney Mugs

Just a couple minutes ago, my Mom accidently broke my mug (the handle snaped) and I was wondering if the reosrts have the same mugs every year. I got mine a couple of years ago (actually more like 4) at the All Star Movies resort. It is tall and skinny, and had a purple cap. (part of it twisted to reveal different sized straw holes.) Does anyone know if there are basically the same mugs every year? I just can't let go of it.

Thank you!

Colette

Re: Disney Mugs

Colette--
I think they do change the designs of the mugs occasionally, but the styles usually stay the same. The shorter, fatter mug or the taller skinny one like it sounds you have.

I know I have seen a couple different All-Star designs, but maybe I'm just thinking of the differences between Sports, Movies, and Music?? Not sure.

Oh geez, I'm no help! Sorry your mug broke! That's SUCH a bummer...

I lost all of my mugs in a storage incident a while ago. (All my stuff got taken out and thrown away by accident.) Included my Poly mug! My fave!!!

Re: Disney Mugs

Funny you mention that I lost my Coronado Springs cup a couple of weeks ago and have been really bummed by it. I have been watching Ebay, but have not found one yet. I guess this is yet one more reason to visit sooner then we planned.

I never lost my mugs, but I did lose my only autograph book, which I had on both my previous trips.

Re: Disney Mugs

The all start mugs look so much nicer than the PC mugs that I have. Maybe the next design at PC will be better.

We broke our Wilderness Lodge mug from 2 years ago...a friend just got back from WDW with a new one! It was exactly the same.

Aw, good. I'm glad you will be happy with a mug that is similar--hopefully you can get one really soon!!

Did I mention in that storage incident, I lost all my WDW pics, too? Anyway, it's all good. That was a while ago...I'm slowly getting over it. I just have to look at my Disneyland pics a lot!!! THIS IS NOT ABOUT ME!!! THIS IS ABOUT COLETTE!!!

Re: Disney Mugs

I don't know if you will find the exact same design, but Disney will still have that mug type (the skinnier taller type). I like that type better!!

Re: Disney Mugs

We have quite an assortment of mugs from numerous resorts around our home and the designs on the mugs from the same resorts do change as does the color of the tops. I do agree that I like the taller skinner ones better too.

Re: Disney Mugs

I think that the taller skinnier ones are more sleek. But yea, I will be fine with one the same style- I don't like the fat ones as much. I wasn't sure if they had the same style every year, and I would have been a little sad if they didn't have those ones. But thanks for reassuring me!

Dznygrl: Your pics, too? NOOOO! I am so sorry! I shouldn't be complaining! On you next trip, put your pictures (or your camera) in your pocket! I was so attached to my Eeyore stuffed animal when I bought it when I was about 9 that I put it in my sweatshirt because I was too afraid the plane would crash and my luggage would fly away some where. lol I get kind of pathetic with Disney Items.

Re: Disney Mugs

We had about 5 mugs, 1 from CBR 1999, 2 from CBR 2004, 1 from BB and 1 from TL. We got the ones from the water parks for free when returning our locker key. Couldn't use them at the parks because we didn't by the barcode label, but something to bring home. Our DS just broke one of the water park mugs (by accident he just yelled) playing in the snow this year. We use them, especially when DS is sick. Perfect for ice cold juice when having a fever. Or during the summer while working in the yard.

Sorry to hear of all the lost mugs, and your pictures too Dznygrl. That is all the more reason to return.

Re: Disney Mugs

Is there a way to replace a broken mug either on the net or by phone? I would like to replace my wifes "main squeeze" coffee mug we bought in the M.K. a couple of years ago.
