This year is our 10 year anniversary and of course we're going to WDW. We do every year so why should this year be different? The problem is that we are not sure where to stay. Our favorite is AKL and we stayed ther twice and our next fav is WL. We like the WL because of the water activities. Which one would you stay at or do you have any other suggestions?

Re: Where to stay for 10 yr anniv?

I have to go with the AKL. I love it there too. It has so much romance and the theme is unbeatable. The WL is awesome too, but I think I like AKL more.

Honeypot,
Happy 10th Anniversary! It's our 10th this year as well, and we're also going to WDW. We chose WL. We went to GF for our honeymoon, but we've always wanted to stay at WL. Have a great time.

Re: Where to stay for 10 yr anniv?

Tough choices honeypot! Both of those resorts are sooooo beautiful, romantic & magical. I think I would consider WL for your anniversary, because you have several romantic options right at your fingertips...dinner at California Grill, the water pageant every night, canoeing or bike riding at Fort Wilderness, etc...and you may even be able to see the fireworks from your room!

Have fun deciding!

The Boarwalk Inn strikes me as a nice place for an anniversary also.

Re: Where to stay for 10 yr anniv?

We loved the AKL so I don't think that you can go wrong there.

However since you are celebrating something special, I say try something new. I have always dreamed of staying ay the Poly. It seems like a great romantic place.

Re: Where to stay for 10 yr anniv?

Count me in the "10th Anniversary this year and going to WDW" club, too! I'm a California girl and got proposed to at Disneyland, but this will be my first trip to the World. The trip is 8 months away... I can't possibly maintain this level of excitement about it for the next 8 months, can I? (where's a "bouncing" icon when I need it?)

Anyway, we're probably going to stay at CBR, and I'm really excited about it. AKL (DH's first choice) & WL (mine, with AKL a very close second) come out to just a bit too pricey. So hey, CaribBeachNut, tell me why I'm making the right choice!

I'd pick the Boardwalk Inn. Lots of good restaurants and you can walk to Epcot - it just seems like an anniversariesh place.

Re: Where to stay for 10 yr anniv?

We will be celebrating our 12th Anniversary in April. Two years ago, DW and I made a trip to WDW without the kids to celebrate our 10th Anniversary. I had all these special plans to burn the candle on both ends and some romantic dinners but a 2 weeks before we left DW found out that she was pregnant with our littlest one. OOPS. Well this was a surprise. DW was suffering from "Morning Sickness" so most of my plans were canceled. We still had a nice time and we stayed at POR in the Magnolia Bend section. We think this section and grounds are breathtaking. I think that you will have a good time, where ever you stay. We took a tour of the MK called the "Keys to the Kingdom" tour and just took our time. It was during the Flower and Gaden Expo at EPCOT so that was nice. One thing that was nice is that I had a late PS for the California Grill and got to watch the fireworks. It was really nice.
