Do you think that Disney will release a general public discount code?

I actually asked this yesterday too, I think we are all crossing our fingers but it is not sounding good with this new MYW plan!!

In the past, Disney has always released the AP codes first. It is my hope that the general public code won't be too far behind the codes released today. Let's all keep our fingers crossed!!

According to mousesavers they gave a flat discount across the board for AP holders: $25.00 off for Value, $40.00 off for Moderate, and $100.00 off for Deluxe and Home Away from Home resorts. This is not near as good as codes this time last year. I think most people were expecting (hoping) for about 49% off rack rates, which is what AP holders usually get. Personally I was happy with any kind of discount.

With only $25.00 off a value resort, they didn't leave room for much a discount for general public codes.

The new ticket prices are really a good deal. I think Disney is hoping that is enough to get people to WDW. And it will be, come on how many of us will not go to Disney this year, if they don't have the codes out. I think once you decide to go to disney you are so excited you go no matter what.

Personally, I was thinking we will see both, but with the structure of the new AP rates, I am now not sure we will see anything. Expect the discount you see now, $25/$40/$100 as the discount you will see for AP holders in the future, it wont' change much. Don't be surprised if it is released for the rest of the year soon as well.

I think the with new MYW plan they won't release any "public" discounts this year. Just my opinion. Hope I am wrong.

The discount prices they list on Mousesavers.com look pretty much the same as they have in the past. Is anyone seeing anything different? Is mousesavers wrong about the prices?

Darn, I was looking for room only codes for later this summer. I think I am going to add the AP code to my room only reservation and hope codes come out for the general public. If room only codes don't come out for summer I am still going to save $200/night on my 2 WL rooms with the AP rate, that makes it worth it to get at least one AP.
