Pop Century to Magic Kingdom/Animal Kingdom

How long a trip on the bus transportation is it from POP to each of those two parks? Trying to decide if it would be better to take the car this time rather then the bus. We go tomorrow...and we are expecting large crowds due to Bike week in Daytona, Cheerleading event at MGM, and Spring Break. We have a 3 yr old so I am thinking it may be better to drive ourselves.
DOes the POP have their own bus or does it go to other stops on the way to the parks??

Any input??

We have always found it more convenient and quicker to drive ourselves rather than take the buses. When you stay at a WDW resort, you receive a free parking pass good for all the parks and resorts through the duration of your stay, so you don't have to wait in bumper-to-bumper traffic at the park entrances and it's free.

Re: Pop Century to Magic Kingdom/Animal Kingdom

Pop Century has its own bus. We never took it to AK but it was about 15 mins to MK. We always took our car apart from when we wanted to have a drink with our meals. I believe there is a web site this the average times on the wdw buses. Its been mention on DC before.

We drive to every park except the MK - that's just way too complicated. There's no doubt that it's much quicker to drive everywhere. If you're out and about early, you can park close enough to walk into MGM, AK and Epcot, even bypassing the tram. Take the car, you won't regret it. And of course, because you're staying on-site, parking is free. You're just waved right in.

MGM and EPCOT are right there. AK is pretty close too. MK is far.

Re: Pop Century to Magic Kingdom/Animal Kingdom

We used the buses at POP and were pleased. I can't recall the time frames. I really, really, really don't like entering MK throught the parking lot, having to wait for the boat or monorail. The AK parking lot was nicer to me.

If you are leaning towards driving you probably should. That way if you find yourself waiting in a bus line you won't say. "I should have just drove."

Re: Pop Century to Magic Kingdom/Animal Kingdom

When I stayed at PC, getting to the parks wasn't a problem, but getting home from MK after Wishes was a mess. The line for the PC bus was unbelievable. I don't know how it would compare to trying to drive out with everyone else... it might even out. Just something to keep in mind. :)

The only place we drive to is DTD. Just because it seems to be faster to do it that way. Also don't have to carry and hold bags while standing on a bus.

MK is the furthest park from MK. If the bus driver knows the shortcut, and there really is a shortcut, then he can have you from door to door in about 20 minutes. If he doesn't know the shortcut I have seen it take 30 minutes. MGM and Epcot are very close to Pop.
