I have been checking since I booked my trip last September for this May .............still NOTHING.......
Last year they offered a great deal (7 night for the price of 4).
Keep checking.

Re: Disney Visa Rates

A very good question.....I was wondering if there were going to be any vacation deals when we signed up last October, but I sure haven't seen much!

Re: Disney Visa Rates

I am waiting too. Light Buzz, I got the Visa kids stay free package last year. I think they have a similar promotion right now, but it's for Disneyland.

Re: Disney Visa Rates

Even though there is no current discount at WDW, you still get 6 months interest free on vacations to any Disney park. You also get 1% of your purchases in Disney Dollars. Better than nothing. We have collected over $600 and never paid a penny in interest. We payoff our balance every month. Good deal? I think so!!!

It is a little disappointing that there has been such little activity.

Good point. I keep forgetting about that. I had 300 disney dolars for last years trip due to the card.

Re: Disney Visa Rates

I have almost $200 in rewards this year--that will almost pay for my DS's ticket. I haven't been sorry I got the card, watching my reward dollars build up knowing I get to spend them at WDW is fun.

Re: Disney Visa Rates

I also recd. Disney dollars, that is not the point, the point that i was trying to make is that we are now forgotten, we can get money back on almost any card, i got the Disney Visa because i thought that being such a fanatic, i might be able to stay a little longer on my trips by getting better deals than non disney visa card holders. all in all i am happy, but dissapointed.

Re: Disney Visa Rates

I'm with you,Disneyitis. I am glad that I have the card, but disappointed also by the lack of DV deals. The least they could do is give us 2 or 3 percent if we actually use our cards when we go to WDW.

Re: Disney Visa Rates

I am doing some serious thinking of getting rid of mine when we move to Hawaii this summer. It will be at least 2 years before we will go to Disney again..maybe longer. There are plenty of cards out there that give you cash back or other benefits. At this point Disney Visa hasn't offered me anything that those other cards can't..at least with the other cards I can spend the cash back how I choose, whether that be at Disney or not.

The 6 months free interest doesn't do a thing for me. If I have to charge the vacation, we aren't going to go. I'd rather make a budget and save up for it BEFORE we go. It is just much easier for us to save up before we go b/c we are excited to go and pinch every penny to use at Disney. After the trip is over, we aren't so dilligent about pinching pennies and it would be a lot harder to pay off a trip on the charge card.

Re: Disney Visa Rates

I was going to get the card, but after reading some of the posts here, I may have to put some thought into this.

I'm with you...we use charge cards VERY little and would definitely never charge a vacation. In order to get benefit of the cash back I'd have to change the way I do my day to day spending (charge everything and make one payment a month to the CC company) and it's not worth it to me. I do much better with my budget when it's coming out of my bank account immediately! And even if I did that it would take a long time to accumulate much at 1% cash back. Now...if there were really some Disney deals out there to be had with the card, I might reconsider.

Re: Disney Visa Rates

I do use my card frequently, and also pay the balance off every month, so I do benefit on the cash earned rewards, however, I was still hoping there would be more deals on the actual vacations
