For those of you who have used the Evening Magic Hours, how are they working out? Are the parks so crowded it isn't worth it? Or should we plan to use those extra hours?

Re: How are the Evening Magic Hours?

I used the extra hours at both MGM and MK this past January. The one at MGM was perfect. No crowd and walk-ons for the attractions that were open. The one at the MK, however, was very crowded. I still was able to get on attractions with ease, but found it to be more crowded.

Re: How are the Evening Magic Hours?

i went in january also and used the evening magic hours in magic kingdom. there was hardly a crowd when i went because most people there were tired from the marathon and such. it worked out great for me, and we walked on most everything.

Re: How are the Evening Magic Hours?

I used the evening EMH at MK the first week of January. It was the most crowded part of our week, and we didn't use evening EMH after that.

Re: How are the Evening Magic Hours?

We could have, but opted not to, use the Evening EMH at MK. We were there Presidents week, and the park was already open until midnight, then the EMH had it open until 3AM. We left at 11:30PM, and the park was really empty already, I couldn't imagine the place at 3AM. It is one of those hit or miss things, if you get there and the park is filled, it probably will remain filled, if it is empty it is only going to empty out.

My recomendation would be to either plan on using the Morning EMH, or the Evening EMH for the entirety of the trip. It is too tiring to do the Evening EMH, and then get up for the Morning EMH the next day. Also, do take note that A TON more attractions are open duirng the Evening EMH, than the Morning EMH.

Re: How are the Evening Magic Hours?

Now that would be cool--spend the whole day napping & relaxing at the pool, and then arrive at a park at 9pm for 6 hours of fun.

Re: How are the Evening Magic Hours?

The extra magic hour in the morning is my favorite for sure. I like getting up at the crack of dawn and getting on everything before people are even having breakfast. The evening ones are always going to be a bit more crowded I think because they are longer and late at night. Many people just don't like getting up early and running around on their vacations.

On that note I will say that when MGM is open late, and very late, I am sure that teens will fly to that park because of RnR and ToT.

Re: How are the Evening Magic Hours?

Do the Swan/Dolphin hotel guests get to take advantage of the Evening Magic Hours? I would love to stay at MK for an extra 3 hours, if I could stay awake.

Re: How are the Evening Magic Hours?

We used this in January at MK,MGM, and Epcot for the evenings. It was great. I was dissappointed that epcot didn't have more of the world showcase open, however. We didn't stay the whole time there because there wasn't that much to do.
