AP Std Rates

Was anyone able to get the "Standard or Woods View" using the AP code for either the WDL or AKL? I have been trying and the only availability is courtyard (or higher).

Not sure if I am just late or it was never offered.

My sister (DC aka "a goofy family") got it the first morning (we started calling at 6:00am CST on the discount code announcement day) and she finally got through about 8:45 am....I finally got through about 9:15 (we both had to hang up after holding forever and ever so that we could get kids to school) and by the time I got through I couldn't get a standard room at WL, AKL, or Boardwalk...we settled for PoR.

Keep trying....I'm going to call on the 23rd to see if some people that booked a few days ago maybe don't pay and their ressie will cancle.

I was able to get the standard at the AKL in January, but I have a feeling it's a bit easier that time of year due to less people in WDW. Keep trying and like bdavis said, try back on the last day for cancellations without a penalty. That's when most people cancel their trips. I would try at random anyway. You never know. You may get lucky. Welcome to DC BTW.

We didn't get the discount code on the code release day but booked the room anyway. Our travel consultant kept checking back though and was able to get the code two days later. Just keep trying and checking back. The 23rd is the magic day I believe because that is the day that deposits are due. Anyone who doesn't get their deposit in that day loses their ressie and it may open up a discounted room.

Yes, I have found them, woods view, but not standard. WL is very popular, and is often sold out at full rate. Keep checking back, you never know.

Thanks! I have been calling everyday and still no luck. I also get different responses from the reservation staff - one guy told me that once the AP codes room rates are filled and if a person cancelled their reservation, that reservation falls back into the general availability and not the AP category. Another told me just to keep calling back. I sure hope something opens up.

i called to get a quote for the week of june 1st thru 8th...WL and AKL were booked...cheap deluxes go quickly
