Polynesian here I come YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi,

I am so totally excited about my short Memorial weakend trip to WDW. Do to the fact that someone beat me to taking the Thursday before Memorial day off, I will only be going May 27-May 30. This is no big deal since I was just there for 10 nights a couple weeks ago an am only going back to see the new attractions for the 50th and few things I like on my last trip.

Anyways, since I am reducing it by one day, I decided to upgrade and stay at a Gardenview room at the Polynesian instead of the Contemporary. This is where I wanted to stay in February, but ran into an issue and couldn't get an AP rate there. I figured it's a shorts stay so why not.

Thanks. When I made the Contemporary plans last week, I keep going back and forth in my mind between the two resorts, but could see paying the extra money for the resort. Now that I reduced it by a day, I am almost paying what I was before, but am now staying at the Polynesian. Yes I know it is one less day, however, I wasn't comming into MCO until almost 6 pm on Thursday and wouldn't have gotten to the resort until 7 pm or so anyways. This way, I will be flying in on the same flight I took in Feb and will be at the Poly by 12:30 and to the parks by 1 pm which is when I probably would have gone on Friday anyways.

That sounds so great. I haven't stayed in either resort but visit both every trip, the Poly looks so much nicer to me. I am sure you will be very happy with your change. I am sorry your trip is a day shorter but it looks like the lost day isn't a big deal since you were getting in pretty late anyway.

It sounded good when I made the air reservations, but then thinking about it I started wondering what good comming down Thursday night would be anyways. I would be to tired from being at work a 6 am on Thursday to go to the parks anyways.

It sounds like your plans are all going to work out. I can't wait to hear about your trip, I am excited for you. My DS's birthday is that weekend and it's his dream to go to WDW for his birthday--maybe some day.

That is also 3 weeks after the 50th celebration starts and is a Starwars weekend at MGM :). I have always wanted to do a Starwars weekend and now I can.

What could be better a second trip to WDW this year and being able to do a Starwars weekend at the same time, while staying at the Polynesian.

Please post a report on what you thought of the Polynesian (as well as what you thought of the 50th anniversary festivities!) when you get back! My family and I will be staying there starting on the 30th of June!
I'm already counting the days.....!

No problem. The nice thing is a saw and did everything I wanted when I was there Feb 25-March 7, so this is basically just a nice little 3 night WDW trip thanks to my AP. I'm sure I will be spending atleast 1 day at the Polynesian checking it out and the other 1.5 days at the parks. I saw mostly everything I wanted in Feb, so except for the couple new things, I will really beable to take it easy on this trip.

True, but my two trips will be over, by the time you go on yours. I'm actually thinking about doing a 2nd quick trip over New Years. Yes I know I go from not going to WDW since 2001 to going 3 times in 11 months. I guess that's what I get for getting an AP pass.

I think I have already done that by saving $725 on my trip in Febuary and $335 on my May trip.
