Coronado Springs.....
Could those of you who have stayed at Coronado Springs please pass along your opinions about it?
DH and I may be going there in June/July for a martial arts tournament (CS is the official tournament hotel). Any thoughts on service, rooms to request, food, pools, etc. etc. etc. would be great! We usually stay at the values (*** and PC), so this will be our first moderate, and I'm not quite sure what to expect..... Also, I'll be 5 months pregnant at the time, so any preggo/park advice would be great too! Thanks so much you guys!

Re: Coronado Springs.....
I loved that resort. Most complaints are that it's spread out. Since you will be pregnant, definitely request a room in Cabanas 1 or 9B, I believe. That will get you closest to the main hall.
If you love food with a southwestern flair, this place is for you. They do have regular food, but their sitdown restaraunt serves mostly southwestern stuff. The breakfast buffet is to die for. The rooms are bigger than those at the AllStars, so that will be a pleasant surprise for you. I think they are 314 square feet? The pool is AWESOME! I don't think there is a pool that compares, personally. IT has a GIANT pyramid on it! You slide down this neat slide, and people can squirt at you while standing on a bridge, watching you go down. It's a VERY BIG pool! Their are also several quiet pools located strategically around the resort. When I was there, NO ONE was in the quiet pool near our room (Which was in Cabanas 3) There are several bus stops located all around the resort... I found everyone really helpful when I went, but that can change at the drop of a hat! The Pepper Market - people can be a little put off by the fact that they automatically add a gratuity...just accept it now, and it won't bother you then. It's a neat setup - with lots of little "kiosks", you pick out what you want, eat it, and get a little card stamped. YOu go check out, and they ring it all up at the end. My children really enjoyed it. The food is really, VERY good.

Re: Coronado Springs.....
I like the Cornado Springs. Since you are pregnant, you may want to ask for the Casitas (Bldg 1-5) Or the Cabanas (Bldg 8-9) as they are closest to the main building/convention center.
I like the food court because there is a wide selection of offering, probably one of the most diverse on property. You have a choice of Mexican, Asian, Pasta, Grilled (think steak/hamburgers) pizza, etc. So everyone in your party should be able to find something that they like |

Re: Coronado Springs.....
I loved Coronado Springs! We had a little fountain right out in front of our room. The rooms are nice and bigger than those at the values. Like Erin said, the pool is amazing! Definitely check it out! I forget what building we were in, so I can't really suggest one - we were kinda far away from the main building, so you wouldn't want that one anyway!
I'm not a big southwestern fan, but I still thought the food was great! I'm sure you'll love it. :)

Re: Coronado Springs.....
I'm a big CSR fan, too! Request a room in Casitas, building 1, if you want to be close to the lobby; or Cabanas 8A if you want to be close to the big pool. I prefer the Cabanas because there are great hammocks out in front, but, being 5 months along, those might be tough to maneuver. Cabanas 9B is also relatively close to the lobby.
Remember that CMs are always driving around on golf carts and are ready to give you a ride wherever you need to go on the property! Enjoy and have fun!

Re: Coronado Springs.....
Is there an additional charge for the rooms closer to the main hall, like there is at the Values?

Re: Coronado Springs.....
I had a fabulous time at DL while pregnant, but I'm sure it applies to WDW, too. I rode Peter Pan at least 8 times in 3 days.
My advice is that if you're up to it go ahead and stand in lines with DH on some of those attractions you know you won't be riding. I found that since the wait in line WAS the attraction for me for that trip, I really enjoyed the theming in the queues and noticed even more than I normally would. Andrea

Re: Coronado Springs.....
When I last stayed there, the only price differences were between the views, actual location was irrelavant as to price.
Another good point about CS is that it is relatively close to the Animal Kingdom |

Re: Coronado Springs.....
Congratulations!!
My first visit to CS was in 2003 and I was 3 months pregnant and we had my 3 year old daughter with us too. I was nervous about being pregnant at WDW but it didn't change anything for me. Just make sure you have lots of water and I loved all the walking it helped me stay fit even away from home. The most difficult part for me was that I couldn't go on all the rides. (but my son was worth it.) It this your first baby? I think it was easier for me because it was my second baby so I knew more about what to expect. I think you will be fine because you are in the 2nd trimester. You are past the tired and just before the REALLY tired. I really liked the pool at CS and I love breakfast it is so important to me (even more when your pregnant) and the Maya grill has a great breakfast buffet. I also loved the fountains around the resort. As far as the rooms go its basically your standard hotel room. I would stay there again. Congrats again and anywhere in Disney is great as long as your in Disney ![]()
