Hi,
Well I guess it's a good thing I just came back last week from WDW, because it looks like it will be Dec before I can get back to WDW. One good thing is that I will still beable to get a second trip in, but not until December. Anyways, I was wondering if it was to early for me to make my reservations for the Polynesian for Dec 30, 2005-Jan 8, 2006. Also, will I beable to get AAA rate this far in advance for Jan 1-8, 2006 at the Polynesian.

Book your rooms now and you can apply discounts later as they come out. What an awesome time of the year to spend at WDW, you are lucky!

Re: Is it to early to make reservations for the end of Dec (new years weekend)
Stephanie,
Originally I was going to go for a quick 3 night trip over Memorial Day weekend, but I totally forgot that the Indy 500 is that same weekend, and me and my dad always watch the race together while my mother does other stuff. What would be better than being at WDW for New Years and then have the parks to myself when the New Years crowd leaves on January 1st. Also, I will still have a trip to look forward to after Memorial Day, instead of comming home and wishing I had a trip comming up.

It's never to early to book. What a great time to see the world in all it's holiday decore. It'll be crowded, but beautiful. Congrats on your trip.

Re: Is it to early to make reservations for the end of Dec (new years weekend)
Dana,
I finally got it all taken care of, and boy is it expensive to go. Good thing, I'm starting to save money now for it. Dec 30-31 because these aren't discountable days are going to run me $539.66 a night in a gardenview room at the Polynesian. However, for Jan 1-8, 2006 I will atleast beable to apply a AAA rate to this reaservation for the gardenview room at the Polynesian. With the AAA rate, it should only cost me $288.11 a night as long as the rate for the value season stays the same as Jan 1-8. 2005. They quoted me the regular rate of $394.71 w/ tax since the 2006 rates aren't out yet, but someone will call me in Septmeber when they are out to let me know what the rate will be. I have my AP pass so my park tickets are taken care of and I just transfered my airfare from my May trip to my Dec trip and only had to pay $3.09 more which I was surprised about since I'm leaving the night before New Years Eve. Also I was able to give them my flight information, so I am set up on the free magical express service. So now all that's left is to save money to cover my room and food. I know this is not going to be a cheap vacation, but I'm not exactly going during the cheap time either. I am kind of disapointed that I won't be going back as soon as I thought, however atleast after Memorial Day I will still have a trip to look forward to. I will be coming in early enough so I can see the decorations still up on the 30th and 31st before they take them down and I'm excited about that.

Its never too early to book. As has been said, you can always get discounts applied to your booking when they come out.
now only need to plan which park to go for........

Re: Is it to early to make reservations for the end of Dec (new years weekend)
2006 rates are out in September? Does that mean I can book for Nov/Dec 2006 then or do I need to wait until exactly a year away? Thanks.

Re: Is it to early to make reservations for the end of Dec (new years weekend)
You can book now but the 2006 rates are not set. They put the 2005 rate down and tell you that it may go up when the new rates are announced. The last time I booked about 13 months in advance. When I called I was transfered to another operator who could enter the information for the next year. I am sure it happens all the time.

Re: Is it to early to make reservations for the end of Dec (new years weekend)
Great! Thanks...The same policy is in effect: pay one night's deposit (based on 2005 rates)?
ETA: I'll be making a split reservation between CBR and AKL. Will I have to make TWO deposits?
