Most Expensive Room @ WDW

I wasn just curious about how expensive a room at WDW can get. I know the villas can be pricey, but I figured there's probably some "elite" room that only the mega-rich can afford. Something like a penthouse in the Contemporary, directly below California Grill or such.

(BTW, I'm considering becoming mega-rich this year, and this info will help me in planning my next trip. )

I'm thinking it must be a room somewhere in the Grand Floridian?

Re: Most Expensive Room @ WDW

I'll bet it's the Walter E. Disney suite in the GF. http://www.suitedisney.com/id42.htm

Or how about that big ole 2 story King Kamehama-whatshisname suite at the Poly? I'll bet that thing is pricey too! http://www.suitedisney.com/id44.htm

But it looks like each one of the deluxes has some kind of presidential suite for those who are mega-rich and in need of opulent theme-park surroundings.

Gee, Jeff, since you are planning on becoming mega-rich this year how about paying for all of your friends here to go. I'll take a value room at the PC so you can still afford the meg-suite. I hear AKL has some super fancy suite ,too.

That would be so cool. Since there must be about 10,000 or so (with kids and spouses), Jeff could just book the whole pop century resort for us. Where do we sign up?

I also know that at the Dolphin there is a "room" that goes for well over $1000/night.

Re: Most Expensive Room @ WDW

When traveling to DTD on the boat I saw three ranch style homes near the golf course. I asked the Captain what they were used for. He mentioned at one time they were for celebrities that wanted to visit WDW. They each had a maid and butler on staff around the clock. They are now closed and ready to be demolished.

He also mentioned all VIP’s usually have a place ready for them at GF.

Could you imagine the history & people that may have stayed in those ranches? Now you got me thinking. I’ll have to look it up.

I read in US Weekly (so you know it's true) that Kelly Rippa will only stay at the Walt E. Disney Suite at the GF
