Well, I Blew It!

Remember the elaborate surprise resort "upgrade" (from Pop to POR) I had planned for DD on our trip next month? Forget it. I blew it...

I met her and her college roomie tonight to take them to dinner. (Starving college students never pass up a free meal.) They were talking about the trip and the subject of Magical Express came around. I told DD our tradition of going to DTD first thing might not work, since the Magical Express bus will drop us off at our resort. But I said, "But we can take the boat to Downtown Disney." DD is too smart to let that one pass by. She said, "Hey! There isn't a boat from Pop Century to Downtown Disney... We aren't staying at Pop Century are we? Did YOU DO IT AGAIN, Dad?"

I couldn't keep a straight face.... Oh well.

Too bad. It is very hard to keep something like that a secret. Did you tell her which resort or she just knows that you arent staying at POP?

I don't know how you kept the secret this long. My DH and I cannot keep secrets long at all, especially when it comes to gifts or trips.

Atleast she will be more excited knowing where you will all be staying.

Oh well. You got a smart DD....pat y ourself on the back for that instead of being upset about letting the cat out of the bag. I never am able to keep a WDW trip a secret....not even for a day. At least you were able to surprise her a little right? WEll the good part is now she can share in the excitement of a different resort. I can't wait to hear your TR.

No - she figured the whole thing out. She knew PO has the boats to DTD (I think she has the Birnbaum book memoriized). Oh well.. she was very excited. She's always wanted to stay at POR. We have visited there and eaten at Boatwrights a couple times. She's very excited....
