What is the best way to get from Port Orleans Riverside to Fort Wilderness for the Hoop Dee Doo?

First of all, welcome to DisneyCentral!

I think the best way to get there is the launch from the Magic Kingdom. The dock is right in front of the main gate at the MK and drops you off not too far from Pioneer Hall where the Hoop Dee Doo is held. If the park is still open when you get done you can return the same way. If the MK is closed you can get a bus to Downtown Disney and get a bus to POR there.

Please be advised that Fort Wilderness has it's own bus system. If you take the bus from POR (or anywhere else), you have to get off at Fort Wilderness and take a second bus to HDR. Unless things have changed, there are no good signs. Ask anyone you see or follow the crowd to find the FW bus.

You can also take the boat from WL or the Contemp. The boat dock looks close to Pioneer Hall. When I made my ressie the cast member told me I could walk from WL. I am not sure how true that is.

There is a path between FW and WL. It's a nice walk but it's close to a mile if I remember correctly.

Take the resort bus to MK. Take the boat from MK to FW campground. Get off at the campground stop and it is a short walk to pioneer hall. This is the fastest, most efficient way to get there and the boat ride is nice.

Take the boat from WL, MK, or Contemporty. Don't take the buses. They take forever.
