Would you be comfortable with taking a piece of,say,copy paper and writing in large letters DISNEY'S MAGICAL EXPRESS on it and taping it to your luggage? That would certainly get my attention if I was a baggage handler. Which brings up a point-will Disney employ people to work at MCO at various airlines to pick the ME luggage right off the plane,or will they have to rely on the airlines to get it right? If they have to rely on the airlines,then God help you all!!!

Okay, just spoke to the ME people.

They said they will NOT be expressing anyones luggage tags. You either get them or you don't. Get your own luggage and take it to the Disney rep.

ALSO MAKE SURE YOUR ME RESERVATION IS STILL IN THE SYSTEM

Ours was not. They told us that was part of their "glitch."

Be prepared to hold....we were on hold for 50 minutes.

Interesting, that is not what they told me yesterday. I guess the best route to go is to mark your luggage with bows etc. and then see a disney rep when you arrive at the airport for the official instructions on what to do.

I was told that not having those luggage tags does not prevent you from getting the ME shuttle to your resort so at least you don't have to worry about transport.

I am leaving in 2 days...wish me luck!!!

We can still use the shuttle, but we have to get our own luggage.

I'm beginning to wonder if anyone there knows what is going on. I talked to them this afternoon and they said nothing about having to pick up our own luggage. I'm starting to have real misgivings about this whole thing.

I am very interested to see how all the kinks work out...those of you that are trying this within the next couple of days be sure to give us a detailed report on how it works or dosnt work for you!!!

I hope things go well for those of you trying it in the first week. By the time I leave in July all the kinks should be worked out. I think on paper this sounds great, I hope Disney doesn't let us down.

Nope, not me. Even if I was going this week I would still use DME, I have faith.

DisneyTeacher, I need some of your faith! I've been told 3 different things by 3 different people at Disney! I don't think they know the answers! I'm really hoping it will all work out, but anxiety is really setting in! (And I'm already really nervous about flying!)

You're going to Walt Disney World! Put a big smile on and go. I always ask what's the worst that can happen. In this case it's that you have to get you own luggage and walk it to a Disney CM to hand it off. Sounds great to me!! I can't wait for my trip to roll around, I am so ready to go.

That's how we are! I figure we will be fine. I just don't understand how Disney can be so disorganzied. It's not like them.

You know, I never knew that! I have corresponded with "both" of them - especially Keith by email and on the phone the last few weeks. Yesterday, I sent "Mickey" a private message and he replied about its subject - and then added that he'd received my latest phone message at Mousketrips & would be getting back to me.

They must be Fed Exing some of the tags, because we just got ours today. They're pretty and yellow. We're leaving Saturday. Talk about under the wire! BTW, I'll let everybody know how it worked in our TR when we get back!
