I just spoke on the phone with Keith at Mousketrips and he sed Disney is way behind in getting the Magical Express info and luggage tags mailed out. He has a customer using M.E. on May 5 (the first day of the service) and he sed her stuff hasn't been mailed out yet! Oops. I guess there are some kinks to iron out yet. Hopefully, they'll be up and running (and we'll have our confirmation info and tags) by May 13.



He did have some good news, though. He said a person "inside" Disney told him that Southwest Airlines has been added to the list of participating airlines.

We leave May 14 and have been wondering where our tags are?

Hope they get it worked out soon!

We are using Southwest when we go in June and my travel agent just confirmed that SW is participating so we'll be using the magical express too. Hopefully by June things will be running smooth!

We also are going via Southwest in June! I can't wait and am looking forward to trying this new service.

I spoke with Disney regarding ME tags. They are way behind. Though they are trying to Fed Ex some of them, they said it's possible that some people will not have them in time for their trip. However, they do have an alternate plan in place. Save your baggage claim stubs and present your vouchers for ME and they will still be able to get your bags and get them onto the bus and to your resort. So, it sounds like they do have things under control. (fingers and toes crossed!)

We called this weekend and it sounds to me like they have nothing under control!
She said that they didn't expect such a response.....seriously, what DID they expect? Free transportation to WDW from the airport and they didn't think people would respond? They told us they would FedEx our tags, BUT if we didn't get them, "Just look for the guy in the blue suit." WHAT?

All I can say is, this should be interesting.

I was told today that I will not get luggage tags! She said that my pkg was sent to the resort! This seemed to make sense to her! She did tell me I shouldn't worry, that the ME CM's have been practicing at the airport and my bags will get to me with no problems and that the tags are not neccessary. She said the bags are pulled from the plane and they will not go onto the carosol. All I need to do is check in and describe my luggage! Should be pretty interesting-they must be physic since they are going to get my luggage before I describe it to them!

Oh and I forgot to add- We have to look for someone with a big Mickey hand!

Luckily for you, there shouldn't be too many big Mickey hands walking around. I am really interested in how they will find your luggage. Should be verrrry interesting......

I very well might be the customer Mickey was telling you about that is leaving on May 5th and has no tags. We are leaving bright and early on Thursday morning.

I found the number for the Magical Express folks on another site so I called today. I was told that there is no issue with having no tags. Basically when I get to the airport, there will be Disney reps that I can speak to who will direct me where to go. They are going to use the airline baggage tickets to ID your bags in lieu of the ME tags. They told me to just have normal tags with my name and info as I normally would and they also suggested that I tie a ribbon on my bags to make them stand out.

I'm not as worried anymore after speaking to them.
