Re: Swimming attire

Cannot believe this topic has gotten this many replies. Personally I think it should be covered up, big or small a person should be covered!!

I agree with you 100% babets. Obviously you've brought up a hot topic!

Re: Swimming attire

Just one more thing on the subject. My mirror does not lie, I will be wearing a skirt-style bathing suit.

My mirror doesn't lie either. No thongs for my lack of butt!

Well, that's because everyone has their own point of view on style, fashion and modesty.

It did take me a moment to get the "Hot Topic" reference, but I'm old. :old: [I know, there's no "old" smiley, but if there were, it would be here, possibly with small spectacles and a white beard or something]

Re: Swimming attire

Maybe I should put that I don't look at my mirror with rose-colored glasses on...lol... I also cannot see how these men and women wear skimpy things. We were on a cruise over Christmas holidays and of course there is always one person who is wearing next to nothing, this muscular man was wearing this little itsy-bitsy speedo, I had to stare but not out of enjoyment, out of shock!!

LOL.

My point of view on style, fashion, and modesty is a little different from the regular beach to WDW. WDW is a family place. I'd wear a string bikini to the beach here in St. Pete, but definitely not at WDW - the level of appropriateness is different.

Re: Swimming attire

LOL this thread has become pretty much a chat room! And I would really enjoy it if we had a real one.

Oh, myself, I'm quite fat; which is partly why I use the Baloo icon, because I'm a "bear." Still, I'm working on it... as far as fashion goes I tend to have a more "European" sensibility but everyone has their own taste.

Re: Swimming attire

This is Babets' mother, and I am a size 'LARGE'. I plan on swimming with the grandchildren while down in WDW; even if I do look like the skirtted-hippo in Fantasia! I won't be wearing a bikini. LOL LOL LOL

Re: Swimming attire

I always thought the skirted hippo in Fantasia was pretty! And there's lots of gators down here in FL, so watch out, they'll be after you too!
