Re: Swimming attire

Another fine modest site, where you can find swimwear is:
http://www.modestapparelchristianclo...tomsewing.com/

I think this is a Mennonite site - not truly Amish...but just as conservative in dress code!

It is a non-politically-correct way of describing a sleeveless undershirt.

wife-beater n 1. a sleeveless undershirt. Origin: before wearing a wife-beater as one's only shirt became a popular style, the stereotype existed that they were worn primarily by alcoholics or people who were too poor to buy outer shirts. One stereotypical American image of an alcoholic is someone wearing an undershirt and beating their wife. ("All the thugs wear wife-beaters.") Submitted by Nathan, 27-05-1998. Re: Swimming attire

That bathing suit was straight from a 1900 picture I showed to a history class I was teaching. That kinda suit was never meant for actually going in the water. I don't believe that there is somebody out there still making it. What's more amazing is that someone is buying it. They'd have to be or she'd never be selling it.

Well I can't say much for her website name. Isn't the point of a website name to keep it reasonably short and catchy???

to wit: http://www.modestapparelchristianclo...stomsewing.com

aka: modest apparel christian clothing lydia of purple dresses custom sewing

Some people just don't get it.

That is exactly what I thought too. Nothing like establishing brand name recognition the hard way!

Well, by golly, I think I've got it now.

Isn't it standard dress code for the tv show COPS too?

I really could not believe it when I saw the site, still wonder if it is truly for real. I would imagine plunging necklines, thongs, bare midriffs and low rider jeans would be a definite no no with that crowd. (as it is for me!)

Yes, I did notice that. Shall I remind her of the question?

Well, Cinderbella, did it have beer & sweat stains on it? Or were there CRACK stains?
