A quick question

Hey,

I have a quick question that I'm pretty sure I know the answer to, but I want to double check. If I am staying at the All Star Movie Resort and I want to go to the pool in the Poly is there any way I can do that? My guess is that this is not allowed, but I'm not positive. If this is allowed, is there a fee and how much?

Thanks.

When we stayed at the Poly in Sept, there was a sign that said for Poly resort guests only but they never checked anyone. So though it isn't technically "allowed" I don't think you would be noticed. I have also read posts of others that have pool hopped but haven't done it myself. I thought of visiting the Beach Club or Boardwalk pool but never did.

We pool hop all of the time, but as DVC members, it is legal. I have only been asked a couple of times for resort ID, and have always been asked at the Beach and Yacht Club.

Officially, you are not allowed to pool hop, except at a sister resort (All-Stars share pools as do the Port Orleans resorts).

Pool "hopping" is no longer allowed. Years ago, if you were an on property guest, you could use any pool. A few years back, they stopped that practice. But I have never seen anyone asking for any hotel id or anything. Perhaps if it gets really crowded they might. Who knows. Smallworld

A few years back my neice and I "hopped" from Dixie to the Beach & Yacht club. I didn't think it was illegal since we were staying on-site. No one stoppped us from using the pool and we even had a nice lunch at the pool-side lounge (take money can't charge to your room!!). We did get "nabbed" however when I tried to rent a swim noodle floaty thing. The CM ask for a room number. I said I was paying cash but he said he still needed a number. Thinking fast on my feet I made up a number on the spot. Unfortunately the hotel had no such number and the game was up. I thought we'd be tossed!!! However, the CM gave me a polite lecture on how pool hopping was not allowed and then proceeded to rent me the floaty anyway with a stern "don't let it happend again" motherly look. I just love DW!!!
