Our next trip to WDW is being planned for may of 2007, and I have been thinking of maybe moving things up a bit to first week of February. Any pros/cons to going in february rather than May. Staying at pop century Thanks for any ideas

I would say the crowds aren't as bad in early February and the weather definitely isn't as hot. Some of the rides might be under refurbishment/closed though so that is a con to early February.

We typically go every February. I love this time of year. The lines tend to be a little long during winter break. We mix it up a little. We get there a few days before winter break actually starts. This way we can hit all the major attractions and save the other stuff for later(ie. Epcot, BW & DTD). February is a great time for the weather warm durning the day and coll in the evening.

We love going in May, But we like the weather nice and HOT.

It can get a bit crowded towards the end of May, but the beginning thru middle of the month crowds are real low.

Personnally, I think the first 2 weeks in May is ideal. The weather is typically very comfortable: hot, but not stifling. Sometimes a heat wave might move through though.

More importantly, the crowds are almost non-existent. Even the popular rides are typically walk-on.

Nearly as importantly is that May is Value Season, so you can get very good room rates, especially with a discount. Also, airfare is usually very affordable.

However, b/c you're from Rochester, going to Florida in February can be a great way to escape the winter... so long as your airport doesn't get snow-bound.

All things considered, I'd stick with May.

February its a bit chilly but comfortable and I don't think its as crowded as it will be in may. I'd go in February

Definately May, weather is absolutely beautiful! Both waterparks are usually open by then, the Flower Festival is in full bloom, Star Wars weekends usually start towards the middle/end of the month and the parks are open later. Crowds are "very" managable during the early to middle part of the month. Only con is school trips, but they are not too bad.

My DH and I have went in February (When it is still Value Season) and we loved it. Small Crowds (waits of no longer than 15 minutes) and the weather was beautiful. Not too hot in the daytime and cool in the evenings!
