Re: Which Moderate
We have stayed at CBR a few times and really like it but I would love to try POR, the resort looks beautiful.

Re: Which Moderate
Sorry, only stayed at CBR. DH is a creature of habit but we all love the resort. We looked at CSR and seemed very spreadout and POR seemed very crowded (at the time we looked it was a Sat. morning when a lot of people were checking out/in). We usually rent a car and CBR has the best parking that we noticed from the other moderate resorts.

Re: Which Moderate
I've stayed at POR and Coronado Springs. I liked them both, but I think I liked POR a little more.

Re: Which Moderate
I had this same choice when booking my trip for this October. I went with POFQ for several reasons. I like the smallness of the resort. Every building is close to the check-in area and food court. I like the theme and the pool is pretty cool too. After a long day at the parks, I hate to walk forever just to get to my room. That is exactly why I didn't chose the other moderates. They are huge in comparrison.

Re: Which Moderate
I have yet to make my first trip to WDW, but am in the planning process.
POFQ is at the top of my list right now. What appeals most to me is the size of the resort, the buses (I understand that POFQ gets on/off before POR???), the proximity to another resort (POR), and the boat access to DTD. Ask me next week, and my answer may be different, lol. |

Re: Which Moderate
I loved the POFQ when we went there. Everything was very close together. It was hard to drag my DS from the pool, he loved it! We actually had connecting rooms with my brother's family. The rooms were right next to the food court. It was great. It was also so nice to take the boat to DTD.

Re: Which Moderate
I am going to add to the CBR people!
We loved it, each village has its own bus stop, there is an internal resort bus. The pool and theming are beautiful.

CSR Pros and Cons
We just returned from our 8th trip to CSR and we still love it just as much as our first time back in 1998.
THE PROS No sharing bus service with other resorts Centrally located with short rides to the parks and Blizzard Beach Largest hot tub on WDW property - holds 22 Best main pool area (of the mods) with 3 quiet pools New shuttle service eliminates long walks to any of the villages High speed internet service WiFi avaiable as well Free use of the gym Spa Fridge in the room Coffeemaker in the room Iron and ironing board full room service menu 2 arcades beautifully landscaped central air, not a noisey wall unit THE CONS Full size beds (kings size beds are available) one sink IN THE MIDDLE The Pepper Market is either a love it or hate it place. We love it but some folks just don't care for it. Convention resort - some guests don't like seeing other guests at work. Doesn't bother us and helps keep the buses empty. GF, Cont, BW, Y & B Club are also convention resorts. Check out my website below Last edited by buzz2001; 06-08-2005 at 09:00 AM. |
