Traveling with champagne
Has anyone ever traveled with a bottle of champagne? Does it go flat due to the pressurization of the plane or will it be ok? Thanks in advance.

Re: Traveling with champagne
Have not tried it myself but it would seem that it should be okay since the airlines usually serve champagne in first class. They can't always open every bottle on every flight causing them to use bottles that have flown back and forth on other flights. Is it still possible to pack champagne in carry on bags??? There are so many things on the forbidden list now........

Re: Traveling with champagne
I haven't traveled with champagne but I don't see it being a lot different than soda. Airlines serve soda during flights and it is fine. Are you thinking of putting it in your carry on bags?

Re: Traveling with champagne
Yes I was planning on carrying it on the plane. It's a nice bottle that I would be afraid to put in my regular luggage. Didn't think about security not letting me carry it on but I probably should look into it.

You may want to check out this website to see what's prohibited for air travel. http://www.tsa.gov/public/display?theme=177
